  1. He played well yesterday, and was at fault for none of the goals, I'd say. The save with his feet was pretty good, reactions-wise, and we were unlucky with their first in that an inch more and Davies would have tipped it over, not just onto the bar. Also unlucky that Skacel was 'marking' their young lad. As in 'not marking', as is his wont. That said, Davies has been pants in the past and has been at fault for quite a few goals even recently in the league. All in my opinion, of course. I yearn for the day when our player of the season is not a keeper. Kind of indicative of our plight, no?
  2. This plus Baird would be an excellent start. Need ball-winning midfielder next, though God knows why Schneiderlin doesn't start.
  3. Makes me think about Theo's Dad, who was thought to be so pro Saints and his kid's development that he believed that the best place for him was to stay and rebuff Arsenal. Think he even said so. Then... Still, I'd have thought that getting Baird back on loan will be a really good move, as long as he still is okay with Davis...
  4. I thought Surman played like he was off. Even more like he was wearing slippers than usual, more so tonight in trying to avoid getting stuck in and imperilling his move?
  5. Wotte will be next. Or worse, Sir Clive of bumchum.
  6. Oh, yeah, me too, to be honest, although I had a pleasant flicker of 'actually, it might just work' directly after we beat Brum at home. We've prevaricated for about four games too many already, and have lost a big opportunity in letting Davies go to Forest. Rupert is fiddling while Saints burn.
  7. come again?
  8. The man is delusional. Please get rid quick before it's too late. This is Wigleyesque.
  9. working for me to though i assume that the saints game will come on stream in the box below when it starts? hope so.
  10. could do worse. trouble is, Jan will play him as a lone striker...
  11. Not sure about violinists but I'm pretty sure Lowe is on the fiddle. Thank you and goodnight.

    Next Letdown

Jan keeps his job after losing 8-0 against Man U.
  13. up ****e creek without a paddle
  14. That sound you can hear is the death throes of this club, pointedly more in focus when you look at Forest and their new manager. Pathetic. Ryan Smith? I thought this was a joke at first. Why aren't more people angry at how our club is disappearing? Why has JP still got a job? Why hasn't he a shred of decency to realise he should resign? Why is Lowe continuing with this farce of an experiment? Why do we not get some players in who can at least stand up? Man U could be the last competitive game against top flight opposition ever.
  15. what we should have done if our chairman had half a brain cell. they'll be fine now and we're fooked.
  16. I suspect that the Man U game is the ideal shop window for Saga, albeit one which might cup-tie him. And I suspect this is Lowe's game plan. By the way, is anyone else dismayed that we never seem to get managers who do the decent thing and resign when they reap one point in a million? Even Paul Jewell did it, and Derby's record is way better than ours. Obviously we can't afford to pay him off, even on his tiny wages, and there is also the not inconsiderable matter of the dent it would make in Lowe's colossal ego in a public admission that he was wrong to follow Sir Clive's big idea. Sorry, made that last bit up.
  17. things have just taken a turn for the wurzels
  18. kid from everton, saga. no imposing centre half or keeper, or indeed midfield maestro who weighs more than 10 stone. we need no nonsense 'northern' grit and muscle for the spine and for the kids to play off. Rupert will not provide. we're stuffed. and Rupert, you are an idiot.
  19. you mean KD made a mistake? Gosh...
  20. Mickey Adams would at least be cheapish and keen.
  21. I think we will lose, as we are rubbish.
  22. Actually, if anything we need media coverage on Lowe's astonishing arrogance and will not get it without something like this (and perhaps not even with it) as we have become such a tinpot club now that no-one cares. The best we can hope is that someone like Martin Samuel picks up how far the club has fallen, what a plonker RL is, and how we could ever recover without the obvious sugar Daddy. Could always employ a good manager, I suppose...
  23. Did Lowe read out the last line of that letter? ('luv and kisses, Sir Clive')
  24. And quite a big head
