Might it not be someone getting out before administration?
-
Keith Gillespie is exactly the sort of player that scores against us. (ie alive) Damn.
-
Sadly, probably not, although we have a desperate need for a big lunk up front and a big lunk at the back. Oh, and a big lunk in the middle. Lowe must love it when we're on an unbeaten 'run' leading up to these and transfer windows as it gives him access to even quicker 'nos' than before. Jan probably doesn't even make it as far as knocking on the door.

I saw all the others play except Hollywood (although Peach was a very early recollection, admittedly. Fantastic penalty taker, as I recall. Ho hum. Can't remember - was Golac on the right?
-
Rupert shouldn't have shut them.
-
Francis Benali? That's a joke, right? Bridge was excellent, and my pick. Benali was probably the worst professional footballer I've ever seen. And I used to mark him out of the game at school when he was a (pretty decent) striker (and had a 'tache at about 13 years old...)

Portsmouth's bean counters aren't. His 'secret' is paying sky high wages to mercenary players, then leaving when he senses the money is running out. And leaving a terrible mess to clean up in his wake. Obviously why he didn't take the Newcastle job - they're running low themselves. And obviously why he left us - Rupes wouldn't open the cheque book for him.
-
Where is Davis? (Joke) Shilton easily the best. Wells wasn't bad. No-one's mentioned Gennoe or Katalinic - not saying either should be in with a shout, just surprised at their non-naming....
-
If we sell those two and get a defence then it will be worth it. If it just sucks up the debt then it is very sad indeed. Rupert Lowe = old mother Hubbard.
-
Anything more? I don't reckon 2 points is going to happen.
-
I get a feeling of dread as each weekend draws nearer, and can't see a win again at all. So tomorrow isn't going to matter too much either way. Lose and it will be an expected result. Win and it will paper over about one of our 100 cracks. Nothing else will change, sadly. Lowe is a stubborn man.
-
No he's not. That would be too corn(on the cob)y.
-
I think the very fact he is not a Stoke sort of player is precisely the reason they'll buy him. That is, he might offer some of the creativity they lack. Still can't take corners though.
-
Actually the correct analogy is having absolutely nothing left under the Christmas tree, and Rupert stealing the mince pies. Ho Ho Ho!
-
So: Fuller, Delap, Higgingbotham, Surman, and they play in red and white stripes.
-
Hardly. It's pretty clear to anyone with a modicum of intelligence that my one is only an opinion. If I really knew that to be the case would I post it on an opinion-based website? I've seen about three posts in about three years that have been based on first hand knowledge. And those were from Mods announcing the site would be going down... Still, I bit.

He has been sold and will therefore pick up a miraculous 'injury' this week again. I only hope they paid his agent a lot of money so he would come to us and then sell him on at a massive profit. Looks mighty fishy to me.
-
That sound you can hear is a PR U-turn...
-
Maybe he is SINGING before the match...
-
Yes, most odd that he didn't play isn't it. Nothing to do with selling him already and the purchaser wanting that as a condition on the deal. Oh no.
-
Doubt it. Can't afford to pay him off and Rupert would never do something that looks like he is admitting he is in the wrong. He'll persevere until it's too late, or directly after the transfer window closes so the new bloke won't be able to get anyone in and Lalanna et al will be all gone by then. Can't see any bright future on this one.
-
the first thing you do is sort the defence. we haven't done this in five years. for lancashire read callum davidson. going down fast.
-
flashes of adequacy but otherwise pants. get some big blokes in.
-
Striker 'crisis' so bad they score 4 in Europe incl a hattrick for Bent and 4 against the Arse. Same old Harry.
