  1. The team were not overly impressed with Rupert's latest but more economical 'portable eye gym' idea.
  2. They could only afford a second class stamp.
  3. I think even Charlton will see sense, appoint a decent manager and move up the table. Doncaster might drop, I suppose, and I have a sneaky feeling the Derby Clough thing will not work out in the end, so then it's us or someone like Blackpool. Forest will be well clear with Davies in. With our current chairman and manager I think we are down.
  4. Thought this was going to be about Ronaldo's car smash...
  5. The best we have ever had at hitting the bar was G Burley. This looks, on the face of it, a good addition, though seeing him against humans might give us a bigger clue. Now need to keep Schniederlin and get him fit, play him in the middle of the park and add a decent striker (assuming Saga won't get a game behind he who must not be dropped, DMcG. Get the spine right and we'll stop shipping goals.
  6. They've both gone, by the way.
  7. Can this episode in our history get any worse? Administration, I suppose...
  8. I have a hunch it will be Jan funnyname and Rupert Lowe (no nicknames allowed). And that's the trouble. The club is in stasis.
  9. Looks like you missed out 'funny'. Not for the first time. Or did you just mean find? Even rubbish explorers could manage that. Bye, then. Shall we get back to JP now then, anyone else?
  10. I'm with you HLMG. The sad thing is that there is still time to do something. Some of us believe that that something was to sack JP (I have avoided using the unfunny nickname because I have been told off) and appoint, say, Billy Davies. Sure, we don't know the money side of things - we might be unable to afford this and Lowe is in charge of the pursestrings, but I personally had hoped that a way round this might have been that JP might have recognised his failings, that the job was way too much for him, and fall on his sword. A bit like Paul Jewell. That way it wouldn't cost us as much. But it looks like not enough people give a monkey's and we're on the inevitable slide to League One or administration. A massive shame.
  11. What a hilarious picture you have conjured up. Was it from Naked Gun?
  12. He really loves comedies!
  13. Airplane, Police Squad, The Naked Gun Trilogy
  14. Mike Riley will win it next month
  15. It's about as funny as your avatar, which I find most jaunty. Good luck with the rest of your 'exploring'.
  16. It certainly feels like it.
  17. 'snooker balls up champion'
  18. I rest my case. Apathetic.
  19. This is probably the trouble - there is so much apathy out there that things won't change. I'm amazed people aren't as angry as I am at the ineptitude of the decisions coming out of the club. Yeah, we don't need another thread to try and get some sort of rallying out there - but we can vote for the best left back Saints ever had - when we were solvent. Yawn. Still living on that Stokes moment...
  20. He sort of admitted failure with Wigley - eventually.
  21. They are just sympathising with you. I thought we were awful - no drive, could barely string two passes together (thus debunking the 'passing side' myth) and toothless up front. They strolled.
  22. Beyond Rupert's ego, anyone know? His record is abysmal - has any other manager survived for as long with so bad a record? And can we really not afford to pay him off? And can he have so little honour? Answers on a postcard please...
  23. If we had got rid of Jan Portsmuff and got in Billy Davies I would be saying nine points. As it is, I am saying 0 points, because we're crap with a clueless manager and a toxic chairman.
  24. Exactly. Some are in cloud cuckoo land. Get him back and play him instead of the useless McGoldrick (who I suspect has an 'I must play however cack I am' in his contract). I fully expect Lowe to not do this just as he has not done the obvious thing to get us out of this mess and appoint Billy Davies. Doomed while Lowe's ego is in control.
  25. Personally, the fact that McGoldrick wears gloves does not bother me. What does is that despite being an at best average footballer, he continues to play appallingly, can't score goals, can't pass, and runs around the park like he doesn't give a toss and he's far too good for us to even bother trying. Sort of like Berbatov in the last 15 minutes yesterday only with the talent he has in one fingernail. So, in summary, right target, wrong abuse.
