thats a bloody good first goal! forgot just how good it was, but i was only 11 and i've drunk beer since then. if there's a better team goal in a league cup final i dont remember it.

I find massive chunks of Python totally unfunny. LOB was an exceptionally funny film however.

just wait 5 months with your £50m in the bank and it'll earn £1m interest. No risk involved
-
lets hope the mortgage never went on it

not really no. nothing is certain in football i'd imagine they'd be something like 3/1 on so lots of risk for little reward

facking monster result thats all im going to say about it. i shall now log off, if anybody come on being negative, please hunt them down and shoot them

watched the highlights, watched Rickies header about 20 times. the commentator i usually despise gives it a right good shout, each time i watch it i remember just how frickin mental i went when it went it. all their goals taken well but i was in line with all of them on the day so didnt need the TV to confirm that. and jameo played a blinder as did o hara i thought. reminded me of the 2003 final, the usual doughnut defender luzhny played the match of his life to stop beattie and ormerod, this time o hara and some arsenal reject play out of their skins

all I keep telling myself is if I were on their shoes the last team I'd want to be playing is us. sure they are slight favorites but they have it all to lose we have sod all to fear. play without fear and this game is in the bag boys

post game? any open?
-
i dont think any result would surprise me. well ok 8-0 to us would, but thats unlikely all i know is after all this build up, this excitement, from seeing the draw to waiting for and receiving the tickets i just don't want to be depressed afterwards. i can cope with a narrow ballsy defeat, but capitulation and anhililation from a team i flippin hate will be too galling 2-2 draw. christ knows about the replay...

I think i could have torn through our line up in 84!!! Taking nothing away from the great man of course!!!
-
i feel such a heel!! i looked at the winding up order of service and noticed one of our customers on it!! the accounts department are pooping themselves now, cant get hold of said company!!

Why would you have any Portsmouth players in any fantasy team?
-
Just got two tickets, remarkably easy. I even phoned twice as the first time the person who's info they had was wrong so had to call back, got through first time both times. Lady said they are virtually gone now, both tonight and Saturday. If either aren't sold out it'll be single seats, no more than 70 odd under capacity i'd say

interesting fact...well not so much a fact, more a point really as i dont have the statistics to hand...watched ESPN show t'other month, heroes of cricket focussing on the legendary Mr Marshall, and it said that his bowling statistics were at best average against tail enders. he was pretty much that good he'd not be able to get them out, the majority of his first class and test wickets came against the top 6. for me this makes him an even more awesome figure but am with you on this change. not sure im keen, yes its great being a Saints/Hants fan, but in the past we've always done it with a mix of home grown tallent and wise old heads having a last hurrah and bringing on the young 'uns. Im thinking Gower, Crawley and to an extent Warney and COrk - altho of course they were brought in with Bransgroves money but its early and can't think of any other examples!! I fear there will be inevitable changes to test cricket which is sacred imho.....

im officially pooing my pants. more worried about this than saturday, not that i dont think pompey pose a threat, course they do and they will start favorites and rightly so, premier team in the best league in the world so we got nothing to lose, but tonight is one step from Wembley ffs. opportunities like this dont happen often!! goal inside 10 minutes and another before half time and one after 75 mins please to allow the 30,000 crowd to sing their bottoms off for the last 15 gizza final ticket... -
Nicola agrees http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4993892.Cortese_puts_Pardew_under_pressure/ can't see another post yet apologies if i've missed it

I'm sure when the former CEO too over sure and that scenario existed no eyelids would have been batted. Its all about giving people a chance, to prove themselves. Cortese has pretty much done nothing wrong to date, but then again he's only been at the helm 6 months. Who's to say it was penny pinching, who's to know whether the players demands were not outrageous, seeing we are a club with money then asking for outrageous bonus's, one's which would upset the changing room. Devils advocate position taken i appreciate, but to my mind there's nothing there to advocate over. Is there such a phrase.....??

I've been to Leeds away, Orient away, Millwall home, Oxford home. If we get to Wembley I shall try my hardest to get a ticket. I shall also try my best to get a ticket for Portsmouth game (ooh look, i spelt their name correctly and in full) if i get a Wembley ticket before a bloke more deserving than me, unlucky fella you should have tried harder.
