Clyne having a decent enough game. Lallana has beaten the first man roughly once out of about 5 attempts. England will never be a force if we're relying on the likes of Welbeck at the sharp end. Not even 'nearly men'.

Schneiderlin injured and withdraws from France squad

Nothing has been said to suggest he'll be out for several weeks. Get a grip. -
I'm in. I missed out on London so have signed up for Barcelona marathon instead, but that's on March 15th so should have plenty of time to recover for Southampton half. There are more local races than you might think. I see that Lordshill 10 mile has been mentioned, that's part of Hampshire Road Race League (HRRL) which is 12 races between September and June. Solent half marathon was good, started and finished at Blackfield & Langley's ground, out to Exbury then back along Lepe beach. Gosport half is tomorrow which is a good one, and I hear that Salisbury 10 in March is a good one. I didn't think much of Lordshill, lots of very poorly surfaced lanes and tracks for a road race, and the weather didn't do any favours.

I know a few lads (Saints fans) who are in the Aldershot end today as one of their mates is a Shots fan. Bet they're having fun.

Skates can't even get close to qualifying for an opportunity to face us in a cup. Part of me thinks it's hilarious, another part is disappointed.

They were shocking when I was last at WHL (1-0 Bale) Silent for most of the game, piped up with a rendition of our song after they scored in the 87th min, then filtered out of the ground on 89 mins. Poor.

Liverpool and Spurs massively underachieving, Saints flying. I F*CKING LOVE IT!
-
Fonte. Leader. VERY closely followed by Morgan, Big Vic, Tadic, Clyne, Pelle. Very honourable mentions to just about everyone else.
-
Yep. Along with howlers for Lallana and Lovren (if either are involved).
-
To be fair Rickie struggled to get his words in the right order, didn't stop him being a brilliant and clever footballer.

I know we didn't come away with any points from trips to Anfield or WHL, but we were more than a match for Liverpool and really should've come away with a point from Spurs. We've been the better side in every game this season apart from Spurs, and I suppose that first half at Swansea. City and United haven't had too much joy at SMS in the last 2 seasons, we're a better side now and they're not. I expect us to lose at Arsenal but we've already upset them once this season.
-
I think we've got a great chance of staying above one of United, Liverpool, Spurs and the rest FWIW
-
Ask me in 10 games time. Everyone is expecting us to fall apart after the next couple, but look at the games on their own. Citeh (h) - tough, but lost to Stoke at home, lost to WHU. We've won once and drawn once in this fixture in the last 2 seasons. Arsenal (a) - the hardest one, but we've already won there this season against a strong side United (h) - they lost to Leicester FFS, and have failed to beat plenty of dross this season. We'll have to play well to win of course, but no reason that we can't. Their defense is poor and we've got game changers

Did he **** your missus or something? He did a decent job for us with a sh*t squad, and always came across as a decent bloke despite getting treated so badly by Lowe. Deserves a decent reception.
-
Fecking tear them a new one. I'd like to see them and Pearson have a decent season, but got to go for the throat on Saturday.
-
Yeah, they must be sick of us.

I went for Fonte for my MOTM, dominating performance. Though it could just have easily gone to Big Vic, Toby or Clyne. Lots of defending to do but done very well. Sloppy at times going forward but didn't concede many chances of note. Mane should've killed it off and Pelle had a quiet afternoon, was a bit isolated at times but fought well. I'm so glad we've got a week til the next game, we've worked so hard this week to wrap up the 3 wins. Top stuff!

The Lion always has a decent picture from one of those foreign satellite boxes. Was spot on again today
-
Yeah, I was pretty much angling my reply towards the attitude of opposition fans and the media after their teams get stuffed by 'little old Southampton'.
-
All of the teams we have beaten just had an off day when we played them. We might see the same sort of thing over the next couple of games but all will return to normal when we play the big boys.
-
The Lion in Bedford place does.

We (probably) won't be in the top 4 going into the New Year, it's just how he puts his point across that bothers me. He hates to see smaller clubs having a bit of success and won't even entertain giving the idea some sensible thought or air time. Also, what a scruffy looking c*nt. The man needs a hair cut a good wash by the looks of it.

I love the optimism, but we won't see results like that IMO. I do think we'll beat one of the Manchester teams or Arsenal, but let's not get carried away. I'm sure we'll enjoy the ride either way.
