The Compleat Angler is opposite the train station, by the river, and is only a few minutes walk from the ground. Will be plenty of our lot in there. Pretty big outside area there too, weather should be decent tomorrow.

I don't see how JWP can be dropped after the last 2 performances. He's played brilliantly and his set-piece deliveries are important to us.
-
+1. Our problem has been finishing and picking the right ball in the final third. We've bossed the midfield in both games so far, and I bet we do again on Saturday.

Success WITH English players needs to become a trend. I hope we become successful with this side with a core of English/British players, and if that was to happen you'd hope that more clubs strive to follow in our footsteps and invest in youth rather than looking abroad and to experience every time.

I'd love for us to show we've got goals in us. We've seen chances, but finishing hasn't been good enough in the 2 prem games and we could be more assertive in the final third. Plus, I'm spending 2 nights in Norwich this weekend with a friend who's a ST holder there, so avoiding defeat is essential, winning would be excellent.

Buzzing for this today, craving a strong performance and a win. Be nice if that Osvaldo song gets off the ground.

I'm not convinced the captain is going to lose his place any time soon.
-
Very much this.

F*cking stupid idea, it looks gash. But, it'll be covered when the cameras are on it, apart from the odd photo specifically for social media.

There are no easy games in the Prem as we found out last season. PDC is a crackpot and a c*nt but that doesn't mean they haven't got players who are good on their day. Fletcher, Altidor, Sess, Johnson can be dangerous. That said, I don't think they're all that at the back and hopefully we can exploit that. I'm going for a win by a single goal, whether it's 1-0 or 4-3. Although I had a dream that Lambert scored early and we were 3-0 up... But I can't remember the rest. Might have a punt on 3-3.

Too much about opinions to even bother thinking about.

We haven't got a strong enough squad, or the experience to finish in the top 6. Chelsea, United, City plus one out of Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool for top 4, and that's your top 6. I think top 8 is achievable. Everton are still a good and experienced side, and to finish above everyone else would be some achievement. I'm fairly confident we'll finish top half, but top 6 is probably out of reach this season.

Training fairly regularly for the Great South. Ran a 45:50 10k recently, and the longest run I've done since January is 8m which I did in 65 mins. Slowly building up the distance and plan to run at least a couple of 12/13 mile training runs before the Great South. Aiming to be under 80 mins but still carrying a few extra lbs to be going really quick. I'm also in the ballot for the London marathon, and going to do the Reading half in March. I imagine I'll find a different marathon to do next year if I don't get into the London one.

Looks as if he'll get his chance this season.
-
As above, that's pretty quick. An I right in thinking they didn't announce the allocation? Glad I got in there quick.

Demanding chairman, demanding manager. You'd hope (and i think it does) that it rubs off on the players and they demand a lot from themselves and each other. It's pretty exciting what's happening to our club.

I'd say that but swap Lambert and Osvaldo. From what I've seen Osvaldo is brilliant facing goal rather than with his back to it. I bet they'll be working on getting it into Lambert's feet and using runners going past him. That really is a scary front 4 to face as a defender with Lambert, Jay Rod's directness, Lallana's tricks and Osvaldo's right hook playing off him.
-
That front 6 is scarily good

Why are we not giving Sharp a chance?
Jack replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
Lambert was the Championship's top scorer and player of the season, and is still only 'decent' as a striker in the Prem. Quality for us, but only decent compared to the rest of the league overall. Billy Sharp was 'decent' in the Championship, not enough for the step up IMO. -
Very obvious where it's gone wrong. Young girls go to Ibiza to work, money is crap for 6/7 days work a week. A LOT of workers in Ibiza sell drugs on the side to earn a bit more, obviously meeting suppliers on the way. They get them on board with some money up front and promises of loads of money on return, gullible young girls agree, then try to transport the stuff in probably the most stupid of ways. 2 young girls, carrying luggage with 'food packets' on a flight to Western Europe - might as well walk through the airport with a 'drug mule' t-shirt on.

If you could relive one footballing moment, what would it be?

This. First 2 were before my time, third one I wasn't at the game. -
I've had some really good nights there, good pubs and bars in the city centre.

Yeah Norwich is a pain to get to, miles away from anywhere. 4 1/2 hours from Southampton on the train but did it in just over 3 hours in the car last time I went up. I remember drinking at the Compleat Angler last time I was there for footy, think it was our last away of the playoffs season - good pub if the weather is good, right opposite the station and it's nice to be outside by the river when the sun's shining. Not far to the stadium from there either.
-
Will be going to this. I've got a friend who's a Norwich ST holder so will go up Friday for the weekend. I like Norwich as an away day, it's a decent night out too.
