  2. You're right, the service hasn't been great, but he's missed some great chances in recent weeks. United, Everton, especially Arsenal spring to mind. I don't think we can expect that much more from an £8m player, but I think we need someone to share the workload. Tadic really isn't helping, his delivery has been pretty poor recently. I hope we see Elia on the left, Mane behind Pelle and JWP on the right next time out.
  3. Surely we don't need another midfielder with everyone coming back? It can't be the priority with the adequate cover we've got. We need someone to take the pressure off Pelle. Or rather someone to come in and start putting away the chances Pelle keeps missing. He keeps playing fairly well without looking like scoring, which isn't really good enough if we want to push for Europe.

  5. Win some lose some, no real point cashing out for a few quid
  6. Got a fiver on Giroud 3-0. Got Giroud in my dreamteam too. If the result is going to go against Saints anyway, I'd be happy with it finishing 3-0 with a Giroud hat trick

Hopefully the Palace game was a reminder of how easily you can lose a game if you're not on it. With any luck they've had a good week in training and refocused. Really good time to play Swansea based on their form, injuries and suspensions, but I'm never that confident when that happens. Could be a cagey one. 2-1 Saints.
  8. Fair enough. The comment could be directed at several others though
  9. Short memory. He's always been better than an 'average squad filler'.
  10. Can see why he'd want to go. It wasn't long ago people were touting him to be the next Saints player to get an England call up. He's only been out of the side because of Morgan and Big Vic being so good and a couple of unlucky injuries. Class act IMO and it'd be a shame to see him go, but can't blame him. Always seemed like a good lad.
  11. Love it.
  12. If Arsenal win the CL, I'll eat my own head.

RK doesn't seem to bother taking people off just because they've been booked. Mane springs to mind in those 2-3 games when he was tearing around and throwing himself into challenges, even on a yellow he was left on.
  14. 3 years before I was born. Throwing away that lead at Fratton in our promotion season was devastating, I'd love to see us win there one day. Could be a very long time before we get another chance.
  15. This is excellent. They're only 3 points plus goal difference above dropping out of the football league. Any chance we can send some of the U21s out to get some first team experience with some of their rivals? At first I wanted them to hang about so we'd have a chance to get them in the cups, but now that they can't even get into the same round as us in either cup, they may as well hurry up and get relegated.

Good time to play them, but we've got to be a lot better than yesterday. ------------Forster Clyne - Fonte - Gardos - Bertrand ---------Cork-----Reed Davis--------JWP----------Elia --------------Pelle Defensive solidity and a clean sheet please.
  17. Come on Cambridge! Brilliant effort, would love it if they found a winner.
  18. United have been ****e, completely devoid of ideas. Really hope Cambridge cause an upset.
  19. Hard to see any, but there's always at least one. Accumulators are a nightmare with the cup games.
  20. Not many all prem clashes so we'll be hoping for some upsets. Despite how we're going in the league, I'd love a cup run, as long as we can avoid replays I think we'll be fine. 21. I haven't seen anything to suggest that Lovren is injured. Left out of the 18 for not being good enough, which I like a lot. Had a quick glance at twitter and he's still getting trolled left right and centre.
  22. Even if RK could tame Osvaldo, which I'm sure is impossible, he'd never be welcome within the squad. Team ethic and fighting for each other is what's got us where we are, it just wouldn't work with Osvaldo.
  23. ^^ on the other hand, if we get through the next couple of weeks unscathed and start getting our best players returning to action for the run-in, what a boost that'll be.
  24. Excellent work.
