  1. Tadic needs to be on the left or not at all. Slowest/most indirect player in the league but has been known to link well with Bertrand as he’ll do his running for him. I haven’t seen anything from Carillo to make me want to see him play again. Get Sims, Boufal and JWP interchanging behind Gabbi with solidity from Lemina and Hoj and I think we’ve got a good chance. For big parts of today we looked like we were strangers, kept making the same runs or running into each other. Lots to iron out before the next game.
  2. Drive him back to Monaco and beg for a refund
  3. As long as Tadic is on the left, I’m more than happy with that. Weird feeling seeing a teamsheet and not being instantly angry.
  4. Was excited last night, much less so now after some thought and the prospect of us fannying around for the next few weeks, then getting a new man in just in time for us to be confirmed as relegated at Everton.

    Pellegrino OUT

He’s not going anywhere is he. It’s been plain to see since about November that this bloke is completely out of his depth but here we are having the same conversation every week. Surely the board have known for weeks that it’s not working but there’s some other mysterious reason for keeping him there. We’re not even limping on any more, we’re barely crawling.
  6. Could be quite good fun if it’s as toxic as it was yesterday and West Ham let it get to them again. New stadium for me and a good day on the beers despite the football I hope.
  7. Early prediction: Tadic ineffective in the middle. Redmond just ineffective. Carillo isolated and ineffective. Pellegrino tactically ineffective. Boring game. Play for the draw and might get one with a bit of luck.
  8. Surely he would’ve been sacked weeks ago if the board had any intention of making a change. Not going anywhere.
  9. Just did the predictor and have us finishing on 34 points along with Huddersfield and Stoke, goal difference keeping us up. Crazy that we could feasibly stay up with only 6 wins out of 38 games, it’s such a poor league again this season.
  10. We absolutely deserve to be relegated. Cowardice from top to bottom.
  11. Diouf deserved that for being a c*nt earlier. Well done Hoedt, we need to show a bit of fight.
  12. FFS. Redmond shouldn’t be starting and I bet it’s because he’s playing on the left, leaving Tadic in the middle where he’s least effective. Good to see sims starting but I’m not confident at all.
  13. Will Redmond ever do anything other than run it into a dead end? Everyone else just stops when he bursts forward as they know he’s never going to pick someone out. Absolutely thieving a living.
  14. Pass - pass - hoof, pass - pass - hoof. Strange considering we’ve hardly won a header all game. Or even challenged. We’re going down.
  15. Why is Redmond playing? Why is Tadic not on the left? Why aren’t we winning any 50/50s? Why aren’t we putting enough effort in? Why is Tadic trying dumb skills on a break like that? Why is our movement so poor? Why is Pellegrino still in charge? What a ****ing shambles. After watching the Stoke game earlier I reckon they’ll finish above us. At least they have a go. We’re either too nice or just not bothered
  16. Lemina MOTM by a mile. Good to see the players giving Boufal the b*ollocking he deserved after trying to take the ball off JWP for the FK. And good on JWP for banging it in and proving a point.
  17. JWP has scored 3 out of the last 5 goals scored by a Saints player. Considering the other 2 were scored by a centre back I’d say it’s pretty important that he plays. Who knows, Carillo might even get on the end of one of his crosses as Stephens has been, though getting one on target would be nice. It’s sad but it’s our most likely source of a goal at the moment.
  18. Must win, won’t win, again. That probably how it’ll be until we’re confirmed as relegated mid April
  19. Needs to be sacked but there’s more chance of us signing Lionel Messi tonight
  20. You can’t expect thousands of people to be constantly positive when it’s February and they’ve witnessed one convincing win all season, with a squad that should be beating most teams in the bottom half more often than not. Add to that the depressingly negative football tactics from the manager, utter b*ll**** from the hierarchy at the club and too many players who couldn’t give a **** about the club, it’s no real surprise that people’s frustrations are there to see. It’s the ones that stand there with a smile and a clap even when the fans are being shafted that concern me.
  21. I can’t see any Brighton players hacking one into their own net from 25 yards out to get us going unfortunately, as much as we need it.
  22. Fear of losing has been regularly causing us to fail to win. I hope MP at some point just goes for the throat against weaker opposition but I won’t hold my breath.
  23. Considering that’s only happened once this season, that’s probably (definitely) asking too much
  24. Listened to the 2nd half on the way home. I don’t think I’ve heard Blackmore and Merrington slate any manager as much as that. Pellegrino is a f*cking moron and needs to be sacked ASAP. Shame it’s not going to happen.
  25. 100%. Never heard such negativity when in a winning position, so many times in a season, and it’s all because this muppet hasn’t learned a damned thing from his hundreds of mistakes
