  1. I think we've got a great chance of staying above one of United, Liverpool, Spurs and the rest FWIW
  2. Ask me in 10 games time. Everyone is expecting us to fall apart after the next couple, but look at the games on their own. Citeh (h) - tough, but lost to Stoke at home, lost to WHU. We've won once and drawn once in this fixture in the last 2 seasons. Arsenal (a) - the hardest one, but we've already won there this season against a strong side United (h) - they lost to Leicester FFS, and have failed to beat plenty of dross this season. We'll have to play well to win of course, but no reason that we can't. Their defense is poor and we've got game changers
  3. Did he **** your missus or something? He did a decent job for us with a sh*t squad, and always came across as a decent bloke despite getting treated so badly by Lowe. Deserves a decent reception.
  4. Fecking tear them a new one. I'd like to see them and Pearson have a decent season, but got to go for the throat on Saturday.
  5. Yeah, they must be sick of us.
  6. I went for Fonte for my MOTM, dominating performance. Though it could just have easily gone to Big Vic, Toby or Clyne. Lots of defending to do but done very well. Sloppy at times going forward but didn't concede many chances of note. Mane should've killed it off and Pelle had a quiet afternoon, was a bit isolated at times but fought well. I'm so glad we've got a week til the next game, we've worked so hard this week to wrap up the 3 wins. Top stuff!
  7. The Lion always has a decent picture from one of those foreign satellite boxes. Was spot on again today
  8. Yeah, I was pretty much angling my reply towards the attitude of opposition fans and the media after their teams get stuffed by 'little old Southampton'.
  9. All of the teams we have beaten just had an off day when we played them. We might see the same sort of thing over the next couple of games but all will return to normal when we play the big boys.
  10. The Lion in Bedford place does.
  11. We (probably) won't be in the top 4 going into the New Year, it's just how he puts his point across that bothers me. He hates to see smaller clubs having a bit of success and won't even entertain giving the idea some sensible thought or air time. Also, what a scruffy looking c*nt. The man needs a hair cut a good wash by the looks of it.
  12. I love the optimism, but we won't see results like that IMO. I do think we'll beat one of the Manchester teams or Arsenal, but let's not get carried away. I'm sure we'll enjoy the ride either way.
  13. I think the biggest surprise is that West Ham are sitting 4th. They were absolute dog turd when we played them. Like us, fairly kind fixture list I guess. Still gotta beat what's infront of you though.
  14. We've become good at seeing off mediocre and completely **** sides, can't get too excited yet though. Defeats to spurs and Liverpool tell us that, and they've both been well off the pace.
  15. I'd take a 1-0
  16. Agree with this. He's fitter and stronger than he ever was and reads the game much better. Been a key player through our rise and seems to be loving the responsibility of carrying on the progress after this summer's turnaround.
  17. Shane Long's transfer surely cannot be described as 'astute'. I'll go along with the rest of it though.
  18. 10 changes for Spurs tonight, hoping they get stuffed regardless. Besiktas should be good enough to cause them plenty of problems
  19. It's only on Sunday because Spurs play on Thursday night
  20. Jack

    Mane

Hopefully we'll still be in a couple of cup competitions for him to get some sharpness.
  21. Yep, they can't even manage to get in the same cup draws as us any more. Funny, but also slightly sad. In a funny way.
  22. Very hard not to be a bit smug at the moment. I might be getting carried away, but we really should be winning on Saturday, and there's no reason we can't go and make MP's life a bit more difficult next weekend. 2 wins and I won't know what to do with myself!
  23. Or unless that run involves playing lower league opposition, some utter dross (WHU, Newcastle,) and a bit of luck (Swans). Long may it continue however. A win on Saturday and an expected bad result for Spurs at Arsenal and our trip to WHL could see Poch under some real pressure. I think I'd enjoy that.
  24. An injury or suspension to Diego Costa, and Man City finding some rythym could still make it an interesting title race. It clearly isn't going to be as good as last season, but could still be a good one. I'd love to see Spurs and/or Liverpool have shockers this season. And QPR, another relegation could easily ruin them. They're a disgracefully run club and I hope we stick the knife in next weekend and batter them.
  25. I'd start with the same XI as yesterday. The game should flow freely, and Corky is much better suited to that than VW, although he has massively improved in that aspect. The same change an always be made if we need to be stronger in the middle. Great to have good options.
