  1. Not underestimating them, just pointing out that we'll approach the game very differently, being at home and against a bottom half side.
  2. Part of the game plan which will be different for every opposition. Expect us to be much more adventurous against Wigan as we'll have more of the ball, and will be less likely to be picking it out of our own net if a 'hollywood ball' goes a bit wrong.

    Wigan Build Up

I think it should be 4-4-2 as well. I'd play: ------------Davis Clyne---Fonte---Jos---Fox Ramirez-Morgan-Davis-Lallana ---Lambert------Sharp Guly for Ramirez if that goes tits up. Although I think it's likely to be: ------------Davis Clyne---Fonte---Jos---Fox ---------Schneiderlin------ -----Davis--------Lallana---- Ramirez/Guly-------Rodrigues ---------Lambert---------- They're not bad going forward but poor defensively, just attack. 4-2 victory.
  4. I've been saying all along that Tadanari Lee is going to be top quality. I think he'll nail down one of the wide positions in the front 3, it's suited to him. Was really impressed in the few games he played last season, good touch, runs the channels well, and can clearly strike the ball well.
  5. He's gone on loan to Bompey. HTH.
  6. 14-16. Push for top half next season.
  7. Lee Barnard double hat-trick. As a second half substitute.
  8. Players released from Barnet? No, they haven't got a good side. Comfortable Bompey win IMO, would love Barney to get on the scoresheet.
  9. I wonder if Ramirez speaks much Italian? Guly's Italian must be pretty good after being there that long
  10. Then you'd think he'd put a bit of effort in to make it harder for people to make him look stupid? I suppose there's no educating some people, terminally unintelligent.
  11. I always enjoy your blogs, keep it up. Minor error - you have both us and West Ham down for finishing 16th

    Gaston Ramirez

Correct. A media leak to get one of the clubs moving who can realistically afford him.

Probably just a bluff to get Blackpool moving on the Phillips deal. Wouldn't that be an anticlimax...

Transfer budget? Wage budget? Can't see it myself.
  15. Surely that would result in death. System overload.
  16. I'm going to assume this is absolute horse sh*t. Surely that would be smashing our transfer and wage budgets to pieces. I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
  17. Butland? We still need a 3rd 'keeper
  18. Are Cov the new replacement for Southend when it comes to love ins? Anyway, your post prompted me to check the fixtures, and I've unearthed some interesting information: Saturday March 23rd 2013 - Portsmouth vs Coventry City. Saturday March 23rd 2013 - No premier league fixtures. I have a friend who is a Cov fan. IF Portsmouth are somehow still fulfilling their fixtures, I'll be going to this one with our brand new best buddies.
  19. Vague. I know a good one in the south of France? A few in London? The states?
  20. I think this is very encouraging if true. It shows that we're still in the market for players, and there is money available. I thought we'd shut up shop for the summer. NA knows we need CBs. Maybe he just knows he's got to wait for the market to go crazy as it always does in the last week or 10 days before the deadline, before making his moves.
  21. They need it to be fair. Plastic to the extreme.
  22. Been watching the N.I vs Finland game for a bit. I know it's only a friendly vs Finland, but Davis really does look a good player
  23. Just because stranger things have happened, I just put a little tiny bit of the money I won from P*mpey's defeat on a Saints win. Saints win is 18/1 - £5 Lallana to score 1st 20/1 - £2 And the goodun, bare with me... We somehow break into their half, carve them open, and someone gets taken down in the box resulting in a straight red. Up steps Lambert - 1-0, then defend like f*ck. Leeds away style 'defending like f*ck'. Scorecast - Rickie Lambert to score first and Saints 1-0 is 240/1, so I stuck a cheeky £2 on. Stranger things have happened.
  24. No, that adjective is best saved for the few down the road.
