  1. For the last 4 seasons its been the 2nd thursday in June. I know this because I used to print buckets off at school and sometimes sell them to other people.
  2. One of the cups isn't very entertaining, its like watching paint dry. Anyway, I hope we can win it. A trophy is a trophy even if it is slightly ghey.
  3. That rule doesn't always apply. If we get -25 I see us struggling to stay up. Hopefully we'll avoid that and we'll have enough time to get back up the league and have a somewhat enjoyable season.
  4. Davis James, Perry, Saeijs, NEW SIGNING Thomson (?), Gillett, Wotton, NEW SIGNING McGoldrick, NEW SIGNING The likes of Mills, Paterson and McLaggon are also likely to play a role. As for Holmes, very good player, who would fit well on the right, BUT all through his young career he has been plagued with injury. He will not be fit all season, not a chance. We need someone new there for me.
  5. Thought i'd add a bit of humour on the board in this dark dark morning over in Southampton. Where will Andrew Surman go? Do you think he is 'ready for the Premier League'? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/7777584.stm I still can't believe he said that.
  6. As much as it is needed to try and start next season on a clean slate, Burnley will be up for it, Wotte will blame it on the off the pitch stuff, and the team will fall apart and get comfortably beaten. I hope im wrong...
  7. I too was really resigned to relegation, but for me its a big thing if we start next season with -10. I think it almost makes the season half as enjoyable as what it could be. Saints need a season to bring the fans back together and more importantly repairing the relationship between the board and the fans, while not enduring a season of constant disappointment and relegation difficulty. I feel it would be a disaster if we were to drop any further than League 1. Hopefully next season we'll be on zero from the start in L1. But I do fear that -25. The league can be a real pain in the anal.
  8. It usually happens in the dying hours, so I'm ready for a bit of drama on the day. Buyers usually hold out right until the end, and then go "oooo oooohhh ooooh OH ALRIGHT I'M BUYING!!!" Or at least I hope this is the case...
  9. and, if we want to be in the Championship, or starting with a clean slate next season in League 1, Forest is a must win too. 2 wins and hope. Its all we have left.
  10. Oddly, I feel little pain compared to what I felt when missing out in 2005. In fact less pain than the penalty failure at Derby in 2007. I guess the club have been so sh*te, it has resigned us all to think the club is sh*te, and a lot of the fans may be like me, and find little passion due to basically "giving up"
  11. you watching gillete soccer saturday on a sky+ box>>> happened 20 minutes ago at least!!!
  12. COYW (wanderers)
  13. Who will wave to the crowd saying "goodbye, im too good for league one" What a joke.
  14. As Saints fans we should be singing hymns to this internet forum so that we can inspire the Saints to an impossible win against the w00ters. 2-0!!!! Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Have we finally had it? (because, you know we'll just go and beat burnley next week to "give us a chance")
  15. Wonder if Surman still feels he is ready for The Premier League? I can't believe he actually said that...
  16. We are playing the owls!!! Why w00t!!! Owls w00t!!! Stop supporting owls!!!
  17. WHY is Wotton taking corners? The little stupid things like this annoy me and why Wotte thinks someone whose only talent at a dead ball is spanking the living daylights out of it should be taking creative, in/outswinging corners is retarded thinking.
  18. If relegated ourselves, we wouldn't have been as good. Destiny says they are better than us ATM, hopefully we will return stronger in 5, 10, 20 years in the future!!!
  19. I can imagine this invitation: "A once in a lifetime trip into the Sheffield Wednesday half - and you can come!"
  20. I also feel certainly relegated, but Barnsley and Norwich are still with us (though with a game in hand...)
  21. He should be thankful it wasn't Adam Hammill (Pie Boy). Would have made a massive splash Oh McGoldrick...
  22. A cushion to fall on. I bet they hardly care.
  23. positively, neither Forest or Barnsley are winning... if they both lose, and Norwich lose tomorrow, then it may be a bit annoying that we didn't take a chance, but it certainly means it isn't over... EDIT: Ha Ha knew that would happen. We have to win, regardless!
  24. Premier League worldwide over here in Australia just telling us about the highest goalscoring weekend in English football. Last week was 40 for the league, while in October 1997 there were 41. Results included one of my first games I saw and a happier game as well - SAINTS 4-1 BARNSLEY. Those were the days...
