I honestly think Hull will get beat 6 or 7-1 on Saturday. West Ham will be of a different class and will absolutely smash them. We should win too though.
-
They will get away with it again, continuing to cheat in a desperate manner to get back to the NPC. The media will ignore the truth and continue to spout the 'plucky pompey' rubbish. We know that's what is going to happen.

Saints 2-0 Coventry City (Lambert 65, Sharp 67) West Ham 7-1 Hull City (Nolan 2, Vaz Te 5, Maynard 15, Collison 26, Vaz Te 44, Tompkins 71, Nolan 75 & Koren 58)

Could someone explain to me why there demise is 'imminent'? If it was any other club, yes, but it is Pompey we are talking about. Surely in an attempt to avoid liquidation Chanrai will become a reluctant owner yet again. Then it will be a matter of whether or not they will get their CVA. In a sane world, this is highly unlikely, but these creditors will have guns pointing at them from all directions when it comes to voting 'yes' or 'no'. And remember, no organisation or individual wants to be known as 'the person/people who killed Portsmouth FC and the bestest fans in the world'. If there is a chance to hide things under the carpet, I'm sure certain people will move heaven and enough to allow this, if it means that they can keep their 'integrity' in tact. Fingers crossed but I will believe it when I see it. The baddies in Star Wars didn't just lie down.

Brisbane Saints
brightspark replied to Kingsbridge Saint's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
Brisbane have done it 2 years in a row! Amazing to see a full Suncorp in orange once again. Very brave call from the referee to seal our victory! Now on referees.... it was a pleasure to turn up at a local football club to fulfil my refereeing appointments only to see a game on before hand that was being refereed by an unnamed Saints fan wearing Saints shirt and all! Got to say the effort was there and it was a great performance, but I would advise not getting into a verbal argument with your assistant referee and letting the game get to a stage where the coach has to come on the field to restrain one of his own players!!! -
For obvious reasons
-
Second half, new game.

He's probably referring to the 'racism' that would come with a black player going down for such a thing. That's the world we live in. Can't comprehend how these 2 guys have such vastly different sentences. From what I have read, the one guy started it and then Evans joined in later. Absolute shambles. The Port Vale player should go down too, arguably for more than Evans! And 5 years is far too steep. Just my opinion.

Good performance, Reading just too effective - channel the anger into the Peterborough match and smash them. Davis 7 - couldn't stop any of there goals Butterfield 7 - constant crossing was good, some worked, some didn't Fonte 5 - failed to deal with Roberts, messed up for 3rd goal Hooiveld 7 - dealed with Roberts better, could have scored from a corner or two Fox 6 - didn't quite come off for him today but some great corners unfinished Hammond 6 - shame he was caught out for their 2nd, but generally lead the team well Cork 7 - good passing, good movement, good performance Chaplow 5 - didn't cross the ball well, 1 mi****, poor discpline lead to early sub Lallana 8 - really positive energetic performance, what a player Sharp 7 - the endeavour was there, the cutting edge was snuffed out by an awesome Reading backline Lambert 7 - dominated Pearce in the first half as Roberts did to Fonte, but wasn't quite involved enough at the end for me De Ridder 8 - fantastic energy, caused them problems, great work to stop Roberts Guly 6 - good passing but didn't change the result
-
Great first half performance, honestly feeling confident. Even if it doesn't go our way, if we play like this - I will still be confident. COYR
-
Thrilled with the result, but of course it will mean a lot more if Birmingham can produce the goods next up! Hopefully this performance is the start of the kick for home, powering around the bend into the final straight. COYR

Would be stupid resting players for Reading, it's not like they're going to be resting anyone for Brighton tomorrow is it? Just play the natural game with the best players available. Adkins knows what's best.
-
We're never going to score in a million years, the world is against us. Why on earth is Rickie playing, he is clearly unfit. Adkins needs to take a long hard look at himself........
-
OK first half, looked nervy at the start, bit scrappy in front of goal but hopeful we can bundle another one of them in. Don't like blaming Guly but he was nowhere near his man when Maguire scored. We have to close down for the entire 90 minutes or we will be punished. Guly was... casual

Avram Grant lists beating us at SMS one of the best moments of his career. OR Avram Grant lists beating a League One team with a fantasy football squad plucked from here there and everywhere as one of the best moments of his career. I hope we smash them on the weekend for many a reason, but to imagine Avram's face when he logs on to his computer to find out the result will be another.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-live YAY Rickie got a post in at 13:06!!! They are currently getting all depressed that their new trialist could be former Kettering player Tom Williams. BUT! BUT! He's not good enough for us!

Absolutely amazing set of results. If we beat Doncaster and a Wham and Reading stumble once more it will almost seem like the job is done!!! WOOOOOHOOOOO -
Ogbeche for Boro 1-1!!!!!!

I was fast asleep. Negative: Can no longer be classified a "super fan" Positive: No bruised shins from jumping into the seat in front, no broken fingers from leaping into the air forgetting about the ceiling fan and no need to invest in a pacemaker.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/we-deserved-a-draw-but-decisions-cost-us-1-3614270 Desperate spin. The game was live in Australia on red button and it was a foul - Norris won the ball but with the ball still easily in reach he stuck his leg out once more in order to trip the Brighton fella and prevent him from winning the ball back. Free Kick. It's sad that even when a referee gets things right nowadays that he can still be blamed for it. Unbelievable.

I'd have my doubts if we had two strikers on the field who were both about 5' 9''. Makes us a bit predictable. Hopefully we'll see Sharp before the end of the afternoon. COYR COY Donny COY Foxes

Sigh of relief, but remember Tuesday!!! Need a second, need a performance.
