I don't believe that's true. Gabbiadini provides movement, Austin doesn't. The ball sticks with Gabbiadini, not with Austin. Gabbiadini drops deep to find space and was already showing a good understanding with Ings, swapping position. Once he can on we looked all together livelier. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Agree with this especially, sadly, that Austin gave us nothing at all today. McCarthy saved us (again), Vestergaard did what he was bought to do - dominate in the air - Armstrong and Elyounoussi looked good and once the formation changed, Redmond began to threaten. Still not totally sure about the DM pairing. Not sure we can afford Lemina against strong opposition away from home. We should give up three at the back unless we're parking the bus and keeping the FBs back. Two CBs (Yoshida and Vestergaard) plus two DM is the way to go. Very strange. What would happen if he were to break down totally during the season and had to retire? Would we still have to buy him then?
