  3. Still hoping (unashamed bump) .....
  4. Still hoping against hope for a ticket if anyone can't go at the last moment. Would pay generously. Was in Africa when they went on sale and couldn't get internet connexion

    El Crappico

Struggling to understand why Sky taters are constantly saying QPR are the better team. Reading look far more composed. Nigel's style beginning to show. Just need a finish.
  6. Turks gets something right shocker.
  7. Don't think our result makes a lot of difference, but Spurs' late equaliser was important. Need a Sunderland win vs Villa now, IMO. Villa would then be 5 back with 3 to play and needing 2 wins. Would also make Sunderland almost safe and hopefully an easier prospect for our game with them.
  8. In the cold light of day after a long journey home, not made more pleasant by moronic Bolton yoof, and marginally less moronic Cardiff yoof. We were out thought and outplayed. Some similarities with the away game - we had possession but no end result. Pace and strength through the middle tore our CBs apart. Badly missed Shaw and Jos really struggled. RL and AL not in the game. Agree with poster who said Gaston should have come on for RL, not Cork. That weakened us, unless he was carrying a knock. Also why no Punch? Would have been more effective IMO. Also Boruc less than impressive. Actually think KD would have made a better attempt at all 3 goals. Need Fonte for Jos next week, start with Punch, Davis and J-Rod. Try RL but if no better than today, push J-Rod up. LB? All suggestions welcome. Please not Jos/Yoshida. This is where we see whether MP's blue lines are as good as NA's. We're probably safe, but if we lose at WHL and other results go against us, it'll be squeaky bum time. It's the Southampton way.
  9. As I live closer to ALL away games than St Mary's, and it costs me a min of £55 to get to each home game, would have to agree.
  10. Thanks.
  11. Anyone know of a London pub that will be screening the game and would be reasonably away-fan friendly? Going to be there but without a ticket, thanks to being in Africa when they went on sale. Incidentally, can't use my season ticket for the Stoke game and in the unlikely case that someone would swap a Spurs ticket for the Stoke game I might be up for a swap.
  12. 82 mins in finally get Internet connexion. In the Senegambia strip Kololi. Doesn't look like I missed much.
  13. Canal buffs (I'm not one but have enjoyed canal holidays) get wound up about it. Barges are 15ft wide. Narrow boats 7ft to fit the narrow locks. Another useless bit of trivia.
  14. Yes, used to go there occasionally when my daughters were young for Sunday lunch. Assume you mean Tyrley locks where I also used to Erin when fit enough! And to be very pedantic, they're narrow boats not barges. But fun anyway.
  15. How can anyone hate Hopback??? Sorry Phil, thought you were a pretty clued-up sort of guy, but now gone down seriously in my estimation.
  16. The Red Lion is the Joules Brewery Tap. Newish brewery attached. Btw, I work Market Drayton.
  17. Six Bells and Three Tuns in Bishop's Castle, Joules of Market Drayton, Hobson's, Woods, Ludlow Brewery for starters?
  18. If only we could have a leader now who would sort the banks as effectively as Maggie sorted the unions.
  19. Real ale, especially from Shropshire's excellent breweries. Good red wine. White wine, but only if it's very good. The occasional malt whisky.
  20. Exactly where I stand too, and very well put.
  21. Yes. I think this has now officially been done to death. Nigel was great. I appreciated everything he did. Thanks. Now let's move forward with Poch.
  22. I would add Cork. Remember how the season picked up when he came back.
  23. I heard it clearly from the far end. And the Reading applause to appreciate it.
  24. I was with a Reading ST friend sitting as far from the Saints fans as it was possible to be. It was embarrassingly quiet. I couldn't even comment in a pro-Saints whisper as it would have been easily heard. From where I was sitting there were 30 empty seats in just the rows around me. And the noise from the away end was awesome. Well done lads (and lasses!). Oh, and did get a closeup of Artur's basketball skills. Onteresting that my friend, who was a very useful keeper in his day, was actually impressed and commented that, although it looks casual it's actually very skilful and he really is planning to flip the ball over the oppositions' heads before (eventually) catching it. makes some sense - better than a wild punch or failed attempt at a catch.
