  1. I have 6+ but only one ST and need 2 tickets so would be pleased to accept your offer. Can't PM you but will supply my e-mail address if your offer stands.
  2. Are these limited to one per ST holder? doesn't seem to say so.
  3. I think my main reason for wanting him to have a chance is that we are a creative team making chances aplenty in pre-season, but have not put enough away. We need a finisher, and Billy has done enough for me to believe he could fill that role. The point has been made that he wasn't even a regular starter on loan in the Championship last season, but a lot depends on the players you have around you.
  4. I would still like to see him fight for a place to see if he could step up. Ricky did it, so why couldn't Billy? But have to agree that looks unlikely unless we totally fail to get a striker in.
  5. Mrs Shroppie does the occasional game with me but is mostly content to leave me to it. Sometimes go with a mate and leave wives to shop (having of course put credit cards under lock and key). Her list of recent games is actually quite impressive including the Sheffield United last day survival and both promotion games. She doesn't really get it, but appreciated the atmosphere of those big games. Think it would have been different if I'd suggested Hartlepool away (which I didn't, and went alone). Took my daughters to Wembley, which was awesome: they tried very hard to drink me under the table and came close and loved every second.
  6. Brum city centre the Wellington on Bennet's Hill can't be beaten for real ale. Near the ground The Vine has great Indian BBQ, but very busy. Away fans welcome at both.
  7. Have lived in Shropshire for nearly 40 years. The original connexion with Southampton was from 1967 -71 when I was at uni there. Actually used to do Dell and Farton alternate weeks for a bit until I saw sense and settled for a real team. When I moved away it was the same time as Terry Paine left and we both moved to Hereford - he lived close to me - and I had a Hereford ST for a bit whilst following Saints from afar. Now with daughters through uni and independent, can afford a Saints ST and the travel and get to most games, although ALL away games are closer than St Mary's!
  8. Just back. Nice resort, great hotel and restaurants and good days out. Thanks for the recommendation!
  9. And a nun on a jester's shoulders? Virgin on the ridiculous.........
  10. Tech rich.
  11. Any idea how credible/official that could be?
  12. As good as the Cork/Morgan partnership has been, you can't expect them to play every game and we need to know that an injury/suspension won't leave us exposed. Think back to how we were at the start of last season without Cork. Things started to pick up when he came back. And with a high tempo game having quality on the bench in that position will be key. I imagine all three playing at least part of nearly every game.
  13. Not happy with WBA the first day. I'm away, and it's my nearest game and a good place to go. Hull midweek is annoying too as had planned weekend with daughter. And Cardiff on Boxing Day. A ground I haven't done, and can't make that. So not particularly gruntled.
  14. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-premier-league-fixtures-leaked-1960617 Looks like that's taken too.
  15. Since I'm away for the first two, it will be any two that I really don't want to miss.
  16. I'm still a great fan of Nige. This is the sort of thing I miss.
  17. Have had a 6 Sport as the "big" car for seven years from new. Great car, lively fast and comfortable. No problems whatsoever. Been to Norway and Croatia in it and most places in between.
  18. Clyne, Shaw, Cork, Schneiderlin, Rodriguez, Ramirez. Lambert will still be important but I think we'll see a lot more of him from the bench. Either J-Rod will step up or we need a top class striker to progress.
  19. I think there would be a lot of interest. I'll get my coat.
  20. Yes - massive room at the back with BBQ.
  21. Managed a day at the Test Match, hoping to play a bit of golf, walking, otherwise work, work, work.
  22. It's my closest game, cheap, and has the best pub food. (See the pies thread).
  23. Hull is good. Will happily do it again. Much preferred it to Spurs which is awkward journey with no pubs with atmosphere anywhere near WHL.
  24. It always is. Chatting with WBA fans at our home game a few weeks back they were saying there's a new similar place opened up nearer the ground, and ir's just as good. If I'd been sober at the time I might have been able to remember the name now, but I wasn't.
