  1. The Guide Dog. Is there anywhere else?
  2. Only one?
  3. Came down to Soton yesterday. Curry and practice beer session in The Guide Dog last night, just enough to sleep. Full English in the B&B. Remainder of the day is a sandwich with beer for bread and football for filling.
  4. That'll be both of us from Shropshire in The Guide Dog then.
  5. Every single item of clothing that I have ever considered lucky for Saints. May look bizarre, but has to be done.
  6. 26 hours. Just setting off for Southampton. Not going to be late for this one.
  7. Thatt's the only predicion that's already been right, so I believe whatever score you say.
  8. I know he can be frustrating and can lose possession, but I still think he should play. He is working much harder for the team than at the start of the season and it's the sort of game where a moment of flair could be needed, and that's what he can bring.
  9. In the immortal word of Bill Shankly: Some people say football's a matter of life and death. That's ridiculous. It's far more important.
  10. Stay calm. Sit down. Breathe deeply. Read this thread. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?37471-Positive-points-ahead-of-Saturday If that doesn't work, panic.
  11. I make no apology for reposting this from the main buildup thread. After a day of calming down on the golf course and escaping from this forum, where some of the posts seem to be getting quite hysterical in their panic over what may or may not happen on Saturday, I’ve reflected on the task and: We have the team to get the job finished with a win. They have the individual and collective skills to beat a Coventry team who’ve lost to us twice this season already We have the best manager in the Championship to prepare the team psychologically for the game. He will not allow over-confidence nor negativity. We must have (and will have) a fantastic atmosphere in SMS helping them over the line. That support must stay positive even if things don’t go right from the start and patience is needed. To those who are getting tense and scared, that’s natural given the prize at stake, but the last thing needed is any collective anxiety being transmitted to the team, and I would be surprised if there aren’t quite a few who look on here, so let’s keep reminding them of our confidence in them. It’s been an amazing season, and I am confident that with the team, fans and manager working together on Saturday, it will have a happy ending.

  13. Any other opposition might think that WHU being promoted removes more dangerous opposition for next season but Coventry are down and don't need to worry about that. And they didn't like Hammers not beating BC.
  14. With all respect not quite right. If we get a score draw they can still go up if they win by 4 or more OR win by 3 whilst scoring 3 more than us on the day. Eg our score 1 1, theirs 4 1 they go up. 2 2 and 4 1 we go up. But as you said, irrelevant if we win.
  15. I know that moment. That was the way I found the Plymouth score last year once I was back in range. Went mental. But also how I heard the Blackpool result a few weeks back.
  16. And there's me not realising it mattered
  17. Do we really have a thread about a non-Saints game with over 60 posts 4 hours before KO?
  18. How I would like to think BFS is thinking that way.. Somehow I doubt it.
  19. In return for 3 points, I will chant absolutely anything they want me to.
  20. Southend scored first IIRC. It was scary until we got on top. I thought it was 4 - 1 in the end. http://www.11v11.com/teams/southampton/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Southend United 2007
  21. Don't tell me he's the ref tonight
  22. Assuming WHU win tonight, it will be way too close and dangerous to even start thinking about us going up on Sat with a draw. Although there is a slim possibility that we could draw and go up, the only mindset is win, win, win.
  23. Yes, maybe so. But Brizzle home? P*mpey home? Should have been simples. Any game can go wrong.
  24. Think this is the best policy.
