  1. Whilst you are of course right, I remember how we played Cardiff away this season at the best possible time, when they had over half the team out .....
  2. Can't decide whether to watch tonight's game. Think I'm going to try to ignore it until it's over, then have one instant of disappointment or ecstasy.
  3. I'm expecting Hammers to respond like they did when we lost to Reading - with a big win, even overturning GD. Would make for a seriously nervy last game
  4. I would be very happy to see this thread locked until, and if, we get promotion!
  5. Very true. And Sky's dream would be a week of hyping the chance of West Ham causing a massive upset by overtaking us on the last day - no way that wouldn't be unsettling for the team.
  6. With all due respect, you have to be mad not to want Leicester to get at least a draw tonight. On published odds, our probability of auto promotion is about 96% now, but will drop to 89% if WHU win tonight. Message to Nigel Pearson. You are a truly wonderful man and Saints should never have sacked you.
  7. Any way at all. As long as it happens.
  8. Can anyone explain where the three added minutes in the first half came from, since we conceded in the 47th minute? Can't remember any serious stoppages.
  9. This.

    Nigel

I don't care how we go up, just that we go up. If the easiest way is watching Wet Sham drop points, great.
  11. But De Ridder hasn't been effective starting, so who do you play?
  12. To those suggesting we may be in a situation next week when we need just a point, that is impossible - we'll either be already promoted or need a win. If WHU fail to win Mon, we're there. If they get ANY win they'll be 2 pts behind and GD cut to 3 max. So a draw for us isn't enough - we can be overtaken on GD. If they can knock in 6 against Brighton, they can get 4 against Hull.
  13. Agree with this. And he's definitely out so I assume we'll start with Guly and De Ridder on the bench. But neither of those will get in the opposition's faces like Chappers does and they're less effective tracking back. Then of course there's Puncheon, but he seems out of the picture again.
  14. Yoooooo! Palarse and Derby.
  15. Reading 2 1
  16. We will walk this league.
  17. Happy Birthday. Let's hope you'll have something to remember.
  18. And so the day dawns. Shroppie expects that every Saint this day will do his/her* duty. That is all. * before the pc brigade get me.
  19. Or "you'd better not drop your guard"
  20. His defence was that he was hit and fell with bottles in his hand. Just possible that could have done it.
  21. See main buildup thread ......
  22. Is it just possible he would prefer somethimg that doesn't refer to the court case that has hung over him for so long? What's wrong with the original "He's better than Frank Lampard" (except of course he isn't, but then does Adam really make Messi ......?
  23. Maybe if we get clubs coming in for him. I think he's got 2 years on his contract still. Why was he lucky? Were you there? Did you see what happened?
  24. I'm delighted he's been cleared and it obviously vindicates his consistent not guilty stance. Makes me think that the evidence against him can't have been very convincing, and from what I've read it seems far from clear what happened in a general fracas. I'm just sorry he's missed a full season in the Championship after being an important player in League 1. If we go up, it will be a big ask for him to step up to that level but I wouldn't write him off, even though he's well down the pecking order now. Maybe he would do better to rebuild his career in a lower division, but whatever, I'd thank him and wish him well.
