  1. Did I see somewhere that there's a Southend keeper on trial at an unnamed Prem club?
  2. I'll have a tenner on no reply.
  3. Hopefully true, but this is the Daily Star, right?
  4. Think I'll be happier when it's on the OS rather than in the Daily Star.
  5. A curse upon you sir. Was just going for that as it's mine too. So I'll go for 30th July. Has good memories.
  6. Semi-retired but still do some education consultancy, mainly curriculum planning and constructing school timetables
  7. . Is this an omen?
  8. Maybe a "must be selected to play against us" would be more appropriate.
  9. But it made me laugh and brightened up a sh!tty day.
  10. The Coal Hole in The Strand. Excellent real ale and great pies too.
  11. This thread is getting cross-threaded.
  12. 11-12 Leeds. KD confirmed legend status. We score with one chance. They miss 27. I started to believe it could happen.
  13. I would say especially Margaret Thatcher.
  14. It's taken 10 years to get her to come to any games. If it's all the same with you, perhaps it would be better if you told her. I can't afford a divorce.
  15. Very kind, I'm sure
  16. Might try to get to see him at some point. Only 10 miles from Shrewsbury.
  17. Agreed if I'm going with a mate, it doesn't matter that much, but when Mrs S makes an occasional appearance, for some reason she would quite like us to have seats together.
  18. Hardly moaning. Just disappointed that there are better sytems available than the one Saints are implementing. It won't stop me going to games and I'll still jump through hoops to get seats together if I want them. And I buy a season ticket to support the club and give me access to away tickets.
  19. It is tedious. It means I have to buy two tickets together, then sell one of them but tell the buyer to sit in my season ticket seat. If other clubs can cope with this, why can't we? I am tempted to take this up with someone more senior at the club, but not sure who, or how to get an e-mail address.
  20. I e-mailed the club. I am a renewing season ticket holder (despite living 200 miles from St Mary's) and I would be grateful if you could clarify something for me. Occasionally I bring a friend who is not a season ticket holder with me to home games, obviously buying an additional ticket for them. A regular problem last season was that I could never get the additional seat anywhere bear my seat, presumably because there are so many season ticket holders sitting around me. On two occasions I actually had to buy two tickets together and not use my season ticket. With the excellent new card system, I am hoping that for individual games there will be an on-line system that allows me, when I want an extra ticket, to find two seats together, buy one and move myself for that game only, freeing up my normal seat for sale. This is certainly possible at other clubs, for example Reading, where I occasionally go to games and my friend, who has a Reading season ticket, is easily able to move to sit next to me. I sincerely hope that Saints are maximising the new technology in this way. Will this be the case? Their reply: Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we will no longer be offering a seat move facility for any match tickets. Regards Becky Goodyer Ticket Office Assistant Southampton FC

    1. 28 because it can't be higher 2. Keep head still, rotate don't sway, don't look up until the ball's gone, keep the clubhead square, finish the swing facing where you want the ball to go, don't try to hit it too hard, your hands start the backswing, your legs start the downswing. 3. Don't try to think of too many things when you swing.
  22. Block 34, Kingsland North is a good compromise. Great atmosphere, good view. But full of season ticket holders, including one who is the world's biggest moaner. Quote: "Get Guly off, he's useless" I reply, "but he has scored 2 goals" "Anyone could have scored those and apart from that what has he done?" ...........
  23. If you read the terms and conditions, all season tickets are non-transferable.
  24. Question. Reading through the Terms and Conditions, it says that moves will only be allowed "for good reason". I'm confused as to whether this means making a permanent change to your seat half way through the season, or does it also apply to a one-off change? I have a season ticket in a block where pretty well all seats are season tickets, so when I go to a match with a non-season-ticket holding friend (or even my wife) I can never buy a ticket near my seat. I would like to be able to move just for a single game so that I can have two seats together. I know from experience that other clubs' systems allow this - you just log on, buy one ticket and choose an option to move your own seat next to it. The system then frees up the normal seat for sale. If other clubs can do it, I hope that we can. Anyone know the answer? If not , I'll e-mail the club.
