  1. Making this an overnighter. An I the only one going?
  2. After Messi's five last night and Adam's shooting display on Tues (thought otherwise he was good) just getting a tiny little bit concerned whether Adam really makes Messi look ****?
  3. Visited Tromso (sorry can't do funny o) three years ago. Lovely city. I'm 63, first Saints game 1967 - can't remember who. Now Kingsland North. Live near Shrewsbury.
  4. And buy a bus and a set of oars.
  5. I think it probable that thy would be well ahead if they had a decent manager, such as NA. If fact I predict that Reading and Saints will get automatic mainly because of the calm intelligent qualities and skill of their managers whilst WHU will fail in the playoffs with their manager huffing and puffing and blaming everyone else.
  6. Also agreed. There seem to be those who just spend their time looking to find reason to criticise Guly. For me. he is probably our most improved player since the start of this season. He has flair and some of his touches can be brilliant but he has added a hard-working element to his game, even though I suspect that was completely alien to him when he arrived. He did as much as anyone (KD excepted, maybe) to close Leeds down last Saturday and although SDR came on and made the goal last night, Guly was better defensively. He still has weaknesses - first touch can be too heavy when he needs to hold up the ball - but please stop knocking him.
  7. After we missed the early chances that should have put us at least two up by half time, the biggest disappointment for me was that we rescued that game as it was heading for a draw but then, for the first time in ages, didn't concentrate and see it out. It really was poor defending and closing down that allowed their goal.
  8. Where's Chappers?
  9. Point taken and accepted, but you're assuming his marriage was happy. He moved on with a new partner very quickly.
  10. I was 43 when I realised my marriage of 20 years was all wrong. Ran away with my best friend's wife. Incredibly messy - children, friend, wife and I worked together (that was fun). Took 8 years of misery, chaos, recriminations and divorces, but now happily remarried (to the friend's wife as was), totally happy backpacking the world, driving my hot hatch, eating and drinking well, playing golf and watching Saints, all with a like-minded soulmate. And yes, the kids got over it. So it was a good thing.
  11. Where do they play? Can't see how either can afford to travel to the other.
  12. Agreed. Harding looked more composed than Fox, although would agree that Fox's corner delivery is good.
  13. 1 0 WHU. Sh!t poor defending.
  14. Hoooooooooooof!!!
  15. Cardiff are playing the better football. Surprise.
  16. Glad WH can't shoot.
  17. I see quite few away games and we've rarely shown the same as at home. We can struggle when teams press us hard and play with a high intensity, and Leeds did that very well IMO. But we're showing more defensive grit - I would say largely down to Jos and also Morgon's harder work supporting the back four. And we had the luck yesterday. But the harder you work, the luckier you get!
  18. Pretty well, yes.
  19. Don't agree that was our worst. We struggled against Reading, first half against West Ham and more - in fact whoever teams have pressed us with high intensity. Forgotten Bristol City? But the character and determination saw us through just like it got us a point at Reading.
  20. Back from the game. Totally emotionally exhausted. Amazing game. Credit to Leeds, they pressured us, didn't let us play but we showed such character, stole a goal and rode our luck. And we had Kelvin. Was in the Leeds family stand and screamed when we scored. Managed to turn it into a cry of anguish and got away with it, just. That's the stuff promotion is made of.
  21. Will be there, but going with all Mrs Shroppie's family who are all Leeds fans, so will be amongst the opposition having a difficult afternoon.
  22. It's the time when clubs on parachute payments without which they can't survive go for bust to get back to the Prem.
  23. Wolves, when we went into the game with loads of injuries, weak team, they hammered us for most of the game and we scored 6 to their 0 against the run of play. Happy day.
  24. I think he has a fantastic influence on the team spirit. We've really picked up since he came back.
  25. Think he said he's only three hat-tricks behind RL, which tbf, isn't many.
