Thought the whole team played brilliantly. Some great individual displays but the togetherness is such a strong factor. Was very impressed with Connolly - only problem was his reading of the game and speed of thought was sometimes too much for others - two lovely balls into the box could easily have led to goals with a quicker reaction. If we're in the market for a striker, that's what we need.

I think the cohesion is really good. I get the feeling that we no longer rely on a single player in any position (except RL maybe) and there's huge flexibility.

Makes a huge statement when we can make 8 changes and still put out an impressive team. Got the feeling that the team spirit is as good as I've ever seen with Saints and there's acceptance that there are about 20 first team regulars who will rotate.
