Sorry, where I have got this wrong? Surely it is 2 behind with 3 to play if Hudders lose on Friday?
-
Awesome performance, and I don't feel we should be too deflated after the Huddersfield result. Although gutting, they have obviously been extremely ropey against what we know are a horribly bad Walsall side, who had 10 men. If we beat Yeovil and Oldham and they lose to Millwall away, which I think is highly probable, we will still be only 2 points behind with 3 to play. One of their games is vs Colchester and they still go to Exeter, who we, Leeds and Swindon can vouch are no pushovers. Yes, if it had stayed 3-2 Walsall it would obviously have been better, but that late turnaround isn't the end of it yet.

This is amazing, don't even care that Rochdale are ballsing me up from a nice acca win. Well not too much anyway

Make points up on Colchester tonight and make points up against Huddersfield at the weekend. Win our game in hand (and of course tonight and Yeovil) and we'll be 2 points behind both at worst...

Nice, I'm right in the front of the 2 pictures from the Globe. Good see I was looking as hungover and tired as I felt!

As I read written in a fantastic article the other week: I loath WKD and the vile ads that try to push the hideous fluid. Exactly what kind of man actually drinks WKD? Those bloody ads make me lunge with both feet towards the screen. The sub-text is clearly, 'be a c**t and drink s**t.'

All last season I was hoping to see a one-day fixture at the Rose Bowl on a Saturday, and I don't think there was any. Again this season, I have looked at the fixtures and there are none planned. They are playing away games on Saturdays, but none at home. Is there a reason for this? It's the best day for those of us who work in the week to go down in a big group and enjoy a few beers, so can't help feel they are missing out?

Me too! Thank god for crashing on a mate's floor. Will gamble on making one of the many trains available on the Sunday night after a few beers...

Quick question - I'm sure already asked but can't find it: can people use their customer number to buy another ticket during the general sale if they have already used said number to buy a ticket during the round of sales to semi-final attendees?

SaintsWeb Podcast: You're Having a Laugh, Mush!
Granadino replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Thanks for reading and debating my question Steve. Much appreciated. Great work on getting this out, great to have a Saints podcast, I love football weekly and the football ramble too (though the Skate who sounds like Smiffy can be annoying), but we seldom feature, let's face it! -
An absolute monster. So composed.

Agree, and that includes Otsemobor, who was obviously released by Norwich. Can't really tell why at this moment in time, has great pace, gets up and down the wing and can put in a decent ball. As a chap behind me said today "what are we doing with a pacy right-back", first time I can remember us having one (Ostlund was fairly quick before getting fat) and looks like a very good asset.

Let's hope we don't have some XFactor loser try and do a song for the JPT! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMogWN7BLjU

Agreed, hilarious. Also worth recirculating is this beaut: Top swearing.

Got pretty overweight towards the end as well as far as I recall! Shame to read that he announced his retirement last week at the age of 31 due to recurring injury.

"If my players want to go then they'll go. If they want to be here then they'll be here on Tuesday night." Sounds like the ball is in Dannzy's court, let's hope we can give him a good offer and Jose can put in some good words. However, from following him on Twitter, it seems like he has a lot of links in S.London, music and a night course he seems very enthusaistic about, and I think that as much as anything could count against us.

Agreed that the Kolpak system is ultimately a bad thing, but while it is rife in the game McKenzie is a class signing. Saw a lot of him when he was at Somerset and he was a class above in all formats of the game. Equally effective as an opener or batting anywhere down to number 6 he can do fantastic job of holding the innings together. Hampshire for league champions me feels...

Puncheon Signs 3 1/2 Yr Contract at Saints
Granadino replied to Somewhere In Northam's topic in The Saints
Suggestion on the Plymouth boards seems to be that he never settled all the way down in Devon and was homesick for London. As his heart was never really in it, seems Luggy was happy to get shot of him on loan wherever he wanted to go to cut his losses. -
If Stern John features tmrw, what reaction he is likely to get?
Granadino replied to shurlock's topic in The Saints
Really? I'm sure I remember Beatts getting one v Fulham, and although some might say the game wasn't too competitive, it technically was, didn't ormerod get one v Tranmere in the League Cup? -
Was going to say the same - every time I've seen him he's reminded me a little of Pahars. Short, nimble, tricky and with a good turn of pace. I'd happily see him here to prove himself on a short-term deal.

Saga latest: http://www.eurosport.pl/pilka-nozna/saganowski-w-polonii_sto2181912/story.shtml Suggests he has an offer from Polonia Warsaw, but wages could be a problem as he's on £12k per week here!

Pele was also Portuguese (born there), but chose eventually to play for Cape Verde after leaving us (presumably qualifies through his parents?).
-
Times also seem confident: Southampton have completed the signing of José Fonte, the defender, from Palace for about £1 million. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/article6981621.ece

Here's a new one (to me anyway): Southampton have made a £300,000 offer to Falkirk for midfielder Scott Arfield. (The Sun) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/8447755.stm
