Mirror still thinks it's on and that he'll be here for a medical tomorrow (I know, only The Mirror, but I thought worth reporting!) http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Southampton-agree-1-2m-deal-for-Crystal-Palace-star-article280563.html

Damn it! Has turned out to be a frustrating month. Since the start of the season I had 2 big weekends planned around the football, with mates who support other teams coming down to watch the game and have a few (many) beers. Those games: Huddersfield and Swindon. Now both postponed and will be rearranged for midweek when the others wont be able to make it! (Probably the right decision though!)

No. Went back to Derby after Leeds for a couple of seasons. Now without a club, think he has fitness problems so may never return...

Have seen some stories in the Polish media that say that Saga has already left the club, having had his contract cancelled by mutual consent before returning to Poland for Christmas on 22 December. Any truth in this? Always likely to happen but strange we haven't heard anything from the club?

Well one thing's for sure, he's certainly available: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/coventry-city-fc-news/2009/12/23/elliott-ward-set-to-leave-in-january-92746-25455959/

Who's your money on? For me, I reckon Lines and Elliot Ward

Teams: Saints: Davis, James, Perry, Thomas, Harding, Antonio, Schneiderlin, Hammond, Lallana, Lambert, Papa Waigo. Subs: Bialkowski, Lancashire, Mills, Wotton, Holmes, Gobern, Paterson. Luton: K. Pilkington, Asafu-Adjaye, Howells, G. Pilkington, Blackett, Nicholls, Hall, Jarvis, Newton, Craddock, Gallen. Subs: Gore, Gnapka, Nwokeji, Watkins, Patrick, Lacey, White.

Roy Keane has been quoted as saying that Southend want 250k for Barnard, which if true (could well be given their finance and that he is out of contract at the end of the season), is probably worth a punt. Another option could be Kevin Lisbie, who finishes his loan at Colchester this week, and they have said they can't afford to sign him on a permanent.

If Martin is being considered as back-up for the remainder of the season with Trotman gone, would like to see him given a game today, would be a good game to have a look at him IMO.
-
Primarily yes, though I think he has played all over the park. Having read more into the subject though, the latest opinions seem to be that Millwall or Norwich are more likely destinations, so this may be a bit of a non-starter!
-
Indeed. Also been monitoring the Brighton Messageboard, and some people on there are convinced we will be signing Adam Virgo - he threw his shirt in to the crowd at the end of their game yesterday and waved goodbye to the fans, so seems certain to be on the move somewhere. Another player with a strong relagtionship with Wilkins by all accounts.

Bradley Wright-Phillips?
-
Having seen her in Bad Santa (great film!) the other night, can I put forward Lauren Graham
-
Rumours on the Rovers Messageboards that Lines has been watched many times by Saints, Cardiff and Leeds, and Lines wants out as he thinks he deserves more cash.
-
Away game. Has to be 3-1 Saints, surely?

France to go out in the group stage will be my "shock"

Northampton v Saints,1st half and halftime chat

Great stuff. Mclaggon just scored for Eastbourne too - must be good news. -
This. Or any poor Premiership team at home - Hull, etc.

Great username!

Mahmood, Wright, Rashid, Bresnan = not good enough for big time cricket. They have neither the skill nor the temprament.
-
Luton, I think...

92/93 season, Coventry. Lost 2-0, atrocious weather. Fat Boy Micky Quinn scored. We were absolute dross. Looking back at the team sheet, somehow Branfoot managed to get Doddsy, Franny, Kenna and Micky Adams in the same starting XI (I presume this was when Franny was still classed as a winger!)
-
Although this is very cleverly worked out, it is very unlikely that 7 or 8 teams will maintain their form over the entire season, and I would be extremely surprised if there were that many points required for the play-offs. 1 or 2 teams maintaining good form is possible, we just have to hope we are on of them, IMO.
-
Recent history suggests 71-76 points to reach sixth place. That leaves us requiring 59-64 points from our remaining 31 games, so roughly 2 points averaged per game. Far from a certainty, but possible if we can keep our recent form going.

Seems he was Mick "Master of Football" Wadsworth's lover or similar, followed him around throughout his career and was thus brought in when he was no 2 to Stuart Gray. Strachan didn't rate him, so he was straight out of the club...
