  1. Go on, Dave. You know it makes sense.
  2. Off of the top of a mountain? That'd travel a long way - admittedly most of the journey would be downwards
  3. Where can we see this footage?
  4. Blimey, I opened a can of worms with one harmless little post FWIW, I don't mind the ban (and I smoke). Most decent places have heated and covered outdoor areas which are fine to smoke and drink in. It annoys me a tad when the outside area is full of non-smokers and the pub is empty inside but hey, that's life. On the other hand, I do believe that non-food serving establishments should have had the choice whether or not to implement full or even partial bans. Smoking around food is pretty disgusting but it worked ok in traditional pubs for hundreds of years. Besides, the smell of toilets, farts, BO and Dettol is far worse than the old smell of cigars and cigarettes. My 2p.

    Dent repair

Under £1500 and it'll be crap. As in, if you can find somewhere that will do it for under £1500 quid it will be a crap job.
  6. I'm not certain here, but are you exclaiming "Impressive stuff" at Coles' physique? If you are then I wouldn't have thought you'd have a problem following Telfs into the sauna.
  7. Can we blame the smoking ban yet?

    Dent repair

What colour is it? If it's one of the metallics or the silver it will look sh** if you attempt it yourself. If it's the blue, red or yellow you might stand a chance. The key to a decent repair is all in the prep. Spend as long as you can rubbing back the filled repair with ever-increasing wet or dry grades until it's as smooth as, then rub back multiple primer levels, then rub back multiple paint coats, then laquer. It's still going to look dog rough though - probably.
  9. No, it seems unlikely.
  10. If he decides he wants to stay and be part of the bright new dawn then we'd never be able to get anyone as good in to replace him. He's certainly got the talent, he just needs the desire. I hope he stays, and I really hope it's because he wants to.
  11. Sometimes it's nice to get your kicks when it's been raining too Besides, buying grandma's shopping car is not obligatory once you're over 30.

  14. Seems logical.
  15. Stop eating Aeros.
  16. I only look at the OS if something is linked from here that seems worth the effort.
  17. Treat yourself to a midlife crisis car like a single turbo GTS Skyline R32. Should get a 70k miler for that sort of money.
  18. I didn't like to start this thread yesterday when I saw the news but 24 hours later it still seems utterly incredible that an accident like that could happen. Such a freak occurence and so tragic.
  19. Schumacher's domination of F1, during the spend, spend, spend era has to rank up there.
  20. Go back to where you bought it and quote the Sale Of Goods act at them. Anything sold should be fit for purpose and, in the case of electronic equipment, be good for a 6 year lifespan. This has nothing to do with the manufacturer's warranty and it is the responsibility of the retailer to sort it out. Be firm and threaten legal action if necessary. You are within your rights.
  21. Batesy is an RSS feed from the Echo.
  22. Bowls holiday?
  23. Besides, it wasn't irreverent. TDD would have appreciated it, I'm sure.
  24. Why did thousands of people need to be involved in the cover up? Surely almost everyone at Houston control could be led to believe that the data they were being fed was genuine. Only a handful of people need know otherwise. The biggest single piece of evidence that it was genuinely achieved is the fact that the three astronauts lived to talk about it.
  25. That and the fact that 40,000 tonnes of moon debris hit the earth every year blows two of the compelling pieces of evidence that we were ever there anyway. In the end it's mostly about taking someone's word for it. I like to believe it happened but it's hard to accept that a world that only had crossply tyres, reel to reel tape recorders and could barely stitch a car together safely could put a man on the moon.
