You may see it as silly, that's you're right Stu; but you've made the point so many times that I suspect it has become a bit of an obsession...but I will try to fill in some facts for you. When we started the Saints Trust we had several ambitions, one of which was the possibility of having a fan on the board. We thought that would be at least 3-4 years down the line as there other more pressing matters to address on behalf of our members (despite comments to the contrary we never pretended to represent the whole fan base - we were careful to always state we represented our members). However, SLH board pushed aggressively to move the idea forward more quickly. IMHO this issue clouded the Trust's judgement, led to a breakdown in the board and we lost direction. But that's the past. In terms of the future, it would be nice to have a fans forum but you will still find certain fans wanting to take a leading role in its formation and development; nothing wrong with that; somebody has to step forward; but unless more people show an interest in getting involved you will see the same faces 'representing' fans. So, unless you want to invest your own personal time in these initiatives Stu...see what I mean? You can't have it both ways. Personally I think the way forward is for the new board to ask fans to apply for a non-Exec position; no obligation to appoint if the calibre is not good enough; but if someone can demonstrate a real love for the club combined with solid commercial/marketing/financial/voluntary experience then why not? MLT is all the fan we need on the board, thanks.

I'd hope for a clean sweep but I wouldn't be slashing my wrists or baying for the new board's blood if they wanted to give Wotte a year either. It's their money, their club, their choice. I'll just be grateful that the club is there at all, for a while at least.

Chickens not counted. They submitted an entry for 2009 and about-turned quite quickly when they were told they couldn't just buy the McLaren chassis and engine. I'm not sure enough has changed as AM/Prodrive have actually shed staff and reduced in size/wealth since. The only thing that points to a possible entry is their full withdrawal from WRC.
