The T Sports are quite nice, but they aren't quick when compared to their direct rivals of the era. That said, I've had a few Toyotas over the years, a Supra, A Celica GT4, A non-turbo Celica and two MR2s. The only fault I can recall in any of them (apart from their insistance at getting crashed) was the big ends starting to go in the GT4 but that hard a very hard life. Seriously, all Japanese cars are well built and Toyotas are up there with the best. I echo what $$$ says about modern diesels though. They're just not worth the effort nowadays.

The reason a driver wouldn't make a move to break the tow and go for it is precisely beacause the driver in front is weaving. That's the point! Petrov had no idea where Hamilton would weave next if he'd pulled out of the slipstream and gone alongside. That's why it's considered dangerous and that's why Hamilton got a warning for it.

It won't handle like the original. They've already taken the dry weight up over the ton mark, changed the centre of gravity and probably messed up the gyroscopic effects with the engine change. That said, it is a beast and one I'd love to have sat on the drive.

Nope, weaving is definitely frowned upon. Petrov could've made a move at any time along that straight. Alright, it probably wouldn't have come off but the opportunity was taken away by the dangerous weaving. Regardless, it's not something that bothers me as the clutch gave up anyway but I'm not surprised he got a warning for it.

This is a great idea, IMO. I had one bloke stood about 10 people away from me and he kept singing tuenlessly and very loudly and it really started to f*** me off. I would definitely have preferred him to be elsewhere.
