Wasn’t some of that growth due to the trade deals the EU have done though, like with Japan?

Aston Villa 1 - 3 Saints - FT - Reactions and Christmas Cheer!

Great result, didn’t see that coming after the West Ham performance. Looks like Ralph has found his formation, hopefully we can strengthen in Jan and we will be OK. -
... if only that were true
-
Then how come the remainers were "thrashed in the General Election"?
-
I didn't make an error I just stated a fact.
-
To be fair, more people voted for parties that wanted a second refurendum or Brexit cancelled than pro Brexit. And that's with the main party having an unelectable leader with a marxist manifesto.
-
Most of that is just Tory bullsh!te, Labour lost because their policies were too extreme and the only thing less popular than their leader was their stance on Brexit. Even with their toxic leader, front bench full of mutants and barmy spending plans they would have kept most of the wall red if it wasn’t for Brexit.
-
But in 5 years time Brexit shouldn’t be an issue, unless of course it’s a disaster in which case he will be proven to be right.
-
Probably, though I’m not sure they have since it became Labour policy. I just thought it was interesting that if it was a “Brexit election” most people want a people’s vote yet we have a government free to press ahead with a no deal Brexit.
-
Interesting that despite it being a Tory landslide in terms of seats, more people voted for parties favouring a people’s vote than Brexit. FPTP system at its finest.
-
I guess people have different political views, who would have thought?
-
Not really a coincidence, the smaller parties lose out at every election wether The Tories or Labour win - that’s the point.
-
You just redraw the boundaries to have fewer constituencies.
-
Could do a combination of constituency seats and regional top-ups as Fry suggested. It’s not rocket science, it just makes sense to have every vote count. It would better represent the electorate and give new parties an opportunity to grow. Under PR Momentum and the ERG would just be their own small fringe parties instead of controlling our only voting options.
-
Absolutely.
-
There is no reason why MPs couldn’t be allocated constituencies that best reflect the vote. Surely it has to be better than this red v blue nonsense going on for eternity.
-
A Parliament that actually represents the vote share does make sense.
-
The choice at this election was between leaving the EU and maybe staying in, maybe leaving with a far left loony in charge, the idea that it is an accurate gauge on the public’s view of Brexit is just nonsense. There would have been plenty of remainers who voted Tory for a whole load of reasons, mainly their manic spending plans. Labours policy on Brexit was just a shambles, they deserved to have the arse ripped out their vote. A second refurendum makes sense but it would have had to have been Boris’ deal vs remain to have any legitimacy.
-
Hoping for a hung parliament but I expect it will be a Tory majority of about 15. Dark days ahead
-
Not sure how that makes the scruffy fridge-hiding fat sack of sh!t any less embarrassing. It is karma, pay-back for that ****-taking of the Yanks over Trump.
-
Obviously not, I was just illustrating why “get Brexit done” will probably work.
-
Unfortunately most of his target audience wouldn’t have a clue who Michael Barnier was and what he says will just get lost amongst the relentless stream of bull**** and fake news. There is a “just get it done” dinlo at my work. When I questioned her on the customs union her reply was “what is a customs union?” When I explained what it was and how we need to be outside the EU’s to do our own trade deal with places like China, her response was “are China not in the EU then?” That is the level we are looking at here.

I doubt you would say that if your old dragon was one of the “letterboxes” on the receiving of hate crime as a direct result of what he said.
-
This is pretty much how I feel. A hard Brexit under Boris or a Labour majority would probably be equally as damaging to the economy, hopefully it will end up with some sort of coalition. If there is a large Tory majority you would have to question the moral compass of the British public IMO.
-
That can't be right, Lord Dickhunter's old dragon is a nurse and said it couldn't have happened.
