  1. The same costs every other club has, yet we always seem to have to sell to buy.
  2. Sell £100mill worth of players then buying £100mill to replace them is zero investment.
  3. We will probably stay up but they have taken a gamble, a few key injuries and we could be in a right mess.
  4. I thought Ramsey was out of his depth against Derby.
  5. If we stay up.
  6. Would be a stupid gamble. We showed tonight how thin our squad is. If Redmond and Ings get injured we will be ****ged.
  7. So if we need a win on the last game to stay up and it's 0-0 with 10mins to go, it's a positive thing to not have Gabbiadini on the bench? Or if Valery gets suspended it's a positive thing to not have Cedric as an option to cover? OK
  8. Of course there is. The whole point is that you improve the squad, we’re 4th from bottom and all we have done is make the squad weaker. We should be replacing Cedric and Gabbiadini with better players.
  9. What are the alternative arrangements for NI then, does anyone know?
  10. How does the song go?
  11. I think it’s more because we’re one injury-prone striker away from starting with Shane Long up front for the remainder of the season.
  12. Oh come on, Cameron went begging to Brussels to get a temporary ‘brake’ on immigration and he was told to get lost.
  13. There are nob-heads on both sides more entrenched than ever. The vast majority of people just want whats best for the country, wether that's in or out the EU. I'm happy with leaving as long as the deal looks decent, at the moment the government has come up with nothing that looks an improvement on how we are at the moment. Voting for something that is now a bit more than an abstract concept makes sense.
  14. Unless people actually have changed their minds?
  15. Whereas having f*ck-all strength in depth is a proven route too success.
  16. I’m sorry but it’s nonsense to say something like that now, you just don’t know. I don’t think we will get relegated but any glaring weak link in the side will get exploited in this league. The margins are so fine between success and failure, a weakness in one position could be enough to mean relegation. Of course you can’t be totally prepared for any injury crisis but it’s wise to have two good options for every position. If Ralph thinks we have it then fine but it may well not be his call and might just be the club penny pinching.
  17. J K A is only 21 so would be a small tree.
  18. Love watching potless Poch lose.
  19. The club did say we have to offload some player before we bring some in. I expect at least 2 new signings before the window closes. Not replacing Cedric will be a pointless gamble, plus I expect we will replace Gabbi.
  20. I expect a couple of players to come in on deadline day. Would be nuts to just spend January weakening the squad in our current position.
  21. I will be disappointed if we didn’t replace him, and bring in a striker/winger. We still have a lot of work to do to stay up, waiting until the summer would be a dangerous game.
  22. I think the point is that every other club appears to actually invest money, not just spend what they get in fees.
  23. Tragic news, looks like next to no chance of them surviving. RIP Sala.
  24. I agree that much of this project fear is grossly exaggerated but we still obviously have a much better idea now than back in 2016, it makes sense for us to make a more informed decision. We didn't know about the £39billion divorce settlement or have much of an idea of the EU's stance on a trade deal. The Northern Ireland issue was barely mentioned last time and as it has turned into quite a major problem, that alone is a decent reason for a new vote IMO. No-one wants the paddys blowing each other up again. The peace process is more important than any of this Brexit stuff.
  25. 10 points, we're on a roll. Palace home - Win Burnley away - Draw Cardiff home - Win Arsenal away - Lose Fulham home - Win
