  1. I'm no fan of Trump, it's bizarre that he was even close to being elected yet alone made president. But credit should be given where it's due - it has to be good to hold talks with North Korea. Also ISIS have been taking a beating recently so I guess he should take some credit for that, though there are obviously many other influences in that region. The problem is everyone is so obsessed with the left v right, red v blue ******** they refuse to give anyone for the 'other side' any credit. Hell would freeze over before any Labour nobhead congratulates Trump on anything, likewise as the post above says, if Corbyn had met Kim then there would be absolute uproar by the Tory idiots.
  2. It makes sense to let the attack continue then rule the goal out if offside than stop a perfectly good attack only to find out it should have carried on.
  3. Well that’s typical of today’s Premier League - the big clubs hoovering up any half decent player just to sit on their bench all season.
  4. Good interview but though i’m probably reading too much into it, they do seem to be pushing the idea that our squad doesn’t need much of an overhaul which is a little bit worrying. Hughes has been round the block a bit so surely he wouldn’t have taken it on without a decent sized war chest?
  5. That's always been my main reason for going anyway. We support Southampton - the football part has almost always been sh!t.
  6. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
  7. Odd that the doc didn’t mention any other symptoms like dizziness, blurred vision or head aches. Only playing football like a w@nker.
  8. That concussion excuse is laughable, they really are sore losers.
  9. All the extra money does is inflate player wages and attract more foreign players. I would much rather see less money, more English players and a more competitive league where teams like Saints stand a decent chance. It would also benefit the national side.
  10. It would be the same for all the others outside the ‘big 6’ so wouldn’t matter one little bit. I think it would be a fantastic league without them in it.
  11. Greedy Yank ****.
  12. I not convinced that internet trolls and misinformation is really that much of a threat, the press is full of all sorts of lies around election time anyway. Any input from Russia is just a fart in a jaccuzi.
  13. Russia is effectively a police state and I would hate to live there. I agree with the OP about the World Cup but I'm not sure what threat it is to me, today, in Romsey?
  14. Is that really much of a threat though, considering how good our political parties already are at manipulation through the media and misinformation?
  15. "hackers, trolls, paid protesters and misinformation " - scary stuff
  16. This. Playing a weakened team in the Sunderland match was unforgivable considering we were pretty much guaranteed to finish 8th. Pellegrino showed more guts in the cup and we were up to our necks in a relegation scrap. That could very well have been our year for the FA cup, had we taken Sunderland’s place we would have played Hull in the quarters, Sheffield Utd in the semi and a beatable Arsenal in the final. But mr ‘no trophy’ Pochettino ****ed it up the wall.
  17. That's nonsense, Lawrie brought through youngsters as well but anyway, the job of a manager is to win football matches and trophies, the age of the players is irrelevant. Getting the best out of top players at the end of their career is fantastic management for a club our size. Jimmy Case is still one of my favourite ever players.
  18. If they are investing that amount of cash it is just a matter of time. Likewise if our club continues to cash in and not invest it's just a matter of time before the inevitable happens and we go down.
  19. I'm too young to remember the Keegan/Channon days so it's 89/90 for me. The 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool is still my favourite game, Le Tiss, Wallace, Rideout and Shearer up front with Case pulling the strings in midfield. Dodd, Benali, Stomper and Osman at the back, Flowers in goal. That was in an era when Liverpool actually won stuff as well. After that is was probably Strachan's 2002/03 season and then Adkin's Championship season.
  20. Could be decades, could be next season.
  21. I don't think Poch is no good but ZZ was a one-off and an internal appointment, their three previous appointments all had previous won the CL and each had a long list of trophies won. Poch has been a manager for almost 10 years and has not won anything. Madrid are top of the tree - they don't have to hire potential.
  22. I doubt they would go for him anyway, probably go for someone who has actually won something.
  23. Not sure being under contract would make any difference, as we well know.
  24. I’m sorry but if you can’t laugh at the misfortune of those who striked or acted like spoilt brats and engineered moves away from your club who can you laugh at. It’s no more irrational than laughing at Pompey’s failures just because they happen to be quite near us geographically.
  25. I dunno, it looked to me like Ramos did it deliberately, he’s vastly experienced and knew what he was doing. Whatever happened before is not really important, he could easily have let go of his arm as they both fell, instead he did the opposite. Makes the way they lost even funnier.
