  1. COULD... IF.... Surely that's only news if they actually find grounds to apply sanctions. Otherwise it's just a non-story to make people like you p!ss their pants because the words 'Corbyn' and 'Hamas" are in the same sentence.
  2. I did hear a rumour that Bruce was a target a while ago during one of our previous manager searches, was told he is good friends with Reed. Have no idea wether it’s true or not.
  3. I don’t get all the hatred for the workshy, sure it’s irritating that some people don’t pull their weight but I just pity them, it seems like a right sh!tty existence to me. Those who are comparatively well off who get really angry at them just come across as people who hate their jobs. All they have to look forward to is their pay cheque at the end of the month so their blood boils when the see the money out in the tax column. Most benefits get paid to people who need them and any one of us might need to fall back on them one day, I doubt there are that many on the take. Not enough to effect my life, certainly not enough to get angry about or vote for a party who makes life harder for most vulnerable.
  4. The Tories have made a complete mess of the whole thing, it took them 2 years to come up with Chequers and they still can't agree on it. Their internal politics could cause a right mess for the country.
  5. To be fair "associated with", "once talked to", "sat next to", "laid a wreath quite near" are all supposedly incriminating when laying the boot into Corbyn.
  6. Yeah but he was sniffing about for quite a while before he actually became owner, failing the fit and proper test etc. NO doubt it created uncertainty and hindered investment.
  7. It has all gone pear shaped since Gao got involved. Unless something changes at the top it's a case of when not if we get relegated. Not sure if protesting will make any difference though.
  8. No chance of him leaving Bournemouth for us whilst they are in the Prem.
  9. I doubt he would want to come here, not with our owner situation.
  10. I think personel wise we are. Two good keepers plus Lurch if there is a crisis, decent full backs with OK cover, 4 OK centre backs to choose from plus Hoot. Defensive midfield is not that weak. With a bit of organisation what we have should easily be enough to keep us up - Puel went half a season with Stephens and Yoshida at the back and kept us defensively sound - those two can't even make the team.
  11. Can’t agree with that, our squad is a mess. Defensively we’re OK but we are so short of creativity going forward. We were poor in that area last season and all we have done is get rid of Tadic and Boufal and replaced them with poorer alternatives. We havn’t even stood still, we’ve gone backwards, and that’s a dangerous game to play when you’ve stayed up by the skin of your teeth.
  12. We desperately lacked creativity last year so what did we go and do? Flog our most creative player. Armstrong looks way out of his depth, if he was Prem standard he would have looked like Messi playing for Celtic in their league. Mo might turn out to be decent but looks like he will take time to get used to the Prem. **** knows what options we will have if Redmond gets injured, Davis? JWP? Niether of them have the pace or skills to cause problems at this level. Reed needs to go, to end up within the creative options we have after the money he has had to play with is criminal. How much exactly did we waste on Boufal and Carrillo? Clubs our size can’t afford to **** that sort of money away.
  13. Agree, the new owner needed to bring in their own Cheif Exec. Someone with vision, drive and a stake in the company.
  14. The squad is a mess, think we will struggle whoever is in charge.
  15. Just have to hope there are three worse than us, Cardiff, Huddersfield....
  16. I reckon you will be alright, not much chance of Labour winning anything with Jezza in charge. Most of the stuff I have read has just been anti-Israel not anti Semitic, it’s just a few idiots getting and Jezza being too slow to clamp down that has got all the attention. Interesting that your family chose to go to Spain, according to this site anti-semitism is “rampant” out there: https://www.haaretz.com/opinion/.premium-with-anti-semitism-rampant-jews-should-rethink-spanish-citizenship-1.5416200
  17. All true, but it is also rewriting of history to suggest he was hounded out by the fans. All I remember was a few chants from a handful in the Northam on the last game and a bit of booing after yet another dull home game. The fans were just bored, all club had to do was invest in some decent striking talent during the summer and no one would have had a problem with Puel.
  18. Agree. Corbyn v Boris or Rees Mogg, with the Lib Dem corpse ****ed in between as an alternative. What a mess.
  19. Surely one could be Tuesday and the other Wednesday?
  20. I guess in theory the Brexit date could be pushed back to allow for a second referendum and the EU might favour it because there is probably a decent chance of a remain win second time around.
  21. It's the lack of accountability I don't get. Considering the amount of money they have had to play with the squad is a complete mess. Surely someone has to take responsibility or does Reed have a job for life and we just sack the manager every season till we go down? I feels like the owner doesn't give a sh!t and Reed is his own boss.
  22. Merrington knows way more about the game than any of you tossers on here.
  23. True, but changing manager is a proper game of Russian roulette with the monkeys in charge at our club at the moment.
  24. To be fair, selling c£300 mill worth of players and buying c£300mill worth to replace them is zero investment.
  25. I’ll chip in, this ‘slightly higher LTV’ sounds awful.
