  1. My mate has been smashing his way through the single mothers on match.com for a while now, he recommends it.
  2. Pretty picture says it so it must be true, can't argue with a pretty picture.
  3. I don't pretend to be an expert in economics but the US might have a bigger debt but with a growing economy they can start paying it back. It looks like the Tories have kicked our recovery right in the b@ll@cks, if/when we go back into recession we won't be able to pay didly squat off.
  4. Cortese would be a fool to sack Adkins if we don't get promotion, it's his d!cking about with managers that lost us so many points at the start of the season. If I were the Leibherrs I would get a new CEO in before manager, Adkins has a proven track record.
  5. I think he has done the opposite, the economy seems set for a double dip thanks to the Tories cuts, the US are not cutting as much and their growth is better. Wether Labour would have actually cut as much or not is irrelevant, I expect them to benefit by jumping on the bandwagon.
  6. It's not a good advert for unions when in these hard times glorified waitresses on 60K a year go on strike. Unions are a thing of the past, they have no place in today's global economy IMO.
  7. To be fair, after missing out on that takeover we did go bust and get relegated, which is pretty much worst case scenario. We just got lucky with Leibherr.
  8. Exactly, every club that has gone into admin has had this "last game" nonsense, no one has anything to gain from them going under mid-season.
  9. Not looking good, can't see Notts County surviving 90mins of this.
  10. True, but I don't see how challenging for automatic promotion can be described as midiocrity, that's is what Charlton and Sheff Weds are experiencing.
  11. If we had put the wrong manager in charge and we could easily be where they are.
  12. What a load of ******.
  13. Think you are forgetting that Huddersfield and MK Dons have both beaten us this season, plus we couldn't beat Orient at home. We would be favorites, but it would still very much be a 1 in 4 chance lottery.
  14. I don't think you are taking Huddersfield, Peterborough, Bournemouth or MK Dons seriously enough.
  15. It's nothing to do with not letting anything go. I havn't given Lowe a moments thought in years until this thread popped up but that doesn't change my opinion of him. All this "could be like pompey" stuff is ****** as well, if not being as bad as them muppets is a sign of success then virtually every club chairman that has ever existed has been a success. Fact is appointing Steve Wigley as manager of an established Premier League club was, and still is, probably the worst footballing decision ever made by any Premier League club chairman ever. I struggle to think of a worse appointment. Then there is lunatic decisions like making a rugby coach director of football, it's not exactly a surprise that the vast majority of Saints fans still think he's a c*nt.
  16. I don't see how the PLC thing can be considered a success when it took an established Premier League club and turned it into a club in administration and in League 1. The new Stadium was a direct result of Sky TV money - that's why virtually every club up and down the country has either a new or redeveloped one. Of course there was a chance of ending up like Pompey but there was just as much chance of ending up like Fulham. The PLC thing was a disaster - the only way forward was through going bust.
  17. Lowe did some good things but he made some utterly bonkers decisions when it came to the footballing side of things. Good on him for chatting to supporters though.
  18. It doesn't matter where you sit at any football stadium in the country - you will always be sat near someone spouting garbage. if you tell someone that to their face you are inviting confrontation, best just accept that football is a game of differing opinions and STFU.
  19. Get in!
  20. The problem we have now is that the Rebels in Benghazi know that as long as they keep the fighting going then Gadaffi can be accused of breaking the ceasefire and the bombing can continue.
  21. Yeah, because if a country launched 120 cruise missiles at London you wouldn't think it's a big deal. Even if they only hit military targets (big if), that's still people's innocent sons, brothers and friends being blown to bits. Unless there is some sort of end game planned this could quickly go the way of Iraq.
  22. 125 missiles is alot of bombing, it will probably do nothing but make more people side with Gadaffi against the UN. It wont remove gadaffi - is there a full scale invasion planned? If not what is it going to achieve?
  23. I do find it odd how the UN spent weeks deliberating over imposing a no fly zone, then the minute it is approved jump straight in and bomb the living sh!t out of the place - even after Gadaffi declared a cease-fire. You have to wonder what are they trying/hoping to achieve? Because removing gadaffi will need a full scale invasion. And blowing stuff up is just going to **** him off and probably result in more aggression against his people.
  24. I disagree, football needs to stay cool. Face paints and jester hats is bad enough, singing the cheif exec's name - that's on a par with the "saints go Wilde" T-shirts.
  25. Think that's the general consensus. That's why only a hand full of mongs in the Northam sung it and no one joined in.
