  1. This is boring me now, if the roles were reversed we would be exactly the same. I don't see what the issue is.
  2. Typical boll*x you would expect from a marketing manager who probably never even knew who Dean Richard was. Try and list a load of half arsed token gestures to try and paint a picture that they actually gave a sh!t.
  3. I have been nothing but impressed with Gobern every time he has played. The sending off yesterday was nothing to worry about, he just went for an aerial challenge but got the timing spectacularly wrong and ended up raising his legs for balance which made it look like he was trying something kung-foo style. I'm glad to see a young player so enthusiastic, he will learn from it and have a big part to play this season IMO.
  4. I can't even be arsed to read that, I could never bother to read that many words about Bournemouth.
  5. I don't see how largely ignoring your fan base and posting b*llox on twitter can be considered "social".
  6. Who is infatuated with who again?
  7. The club has spent alot for a league 1 club but we've had good attendances, kept prices reasonably high, have no mortgage/debt repayments to make and have had two years of decent cup runs. I heard from someone at the club that the MK Dons JPT semis and the Pompey FA Cup games alone netted us about £1mill between them. Doubt we would be far off break even.
  8. No, the typically Saints thing was being pulled out the hat with Steaua bloody Bucharest in the first round, any normal team would have been drawn against Cork City or the champions of Cyprus. Not us, we get the former European champions.
  9. I don't think All Saints Day should be used as a reason not to show respect to particularly tragic deaths like Dean Richards. He died at a very young age and it wasn't long ago he was our player of the season. It just seemed right to me to have a minutes silence/applause.
  10. The more Americanised the better IMO. They are the world leaders in the entertainment industry, just compare Vegas to Blackpool.
  11. I don't think it looks like him but you can't really tell from that pic. Fair play if he did watch the game from the Northam though, it's always a good idea to keep in touch with your customer base, a lot of chief execs of big companies do the same thing.
  12. Who is supposed to be Cortese in that pic?
  13. Should have been a minutes silence or applause, typical of the way the club is at the moment that they couldn't be arsed.
  14. My mates mum buys old designer stuff from TKMax then sells it on ebay for a profit. Bit of a sad souless existence but there you go.
  15. If we don't go up the only certainty would be we lose Lallana, Chamberlain and a few others, probably Scheiderlin and Fonte. I think Adkins should stay but wether he will be fired or not is anyone's guess. The Leibherrs might decide to sell the club, but that could be the case if we go up anyway, Chamberlain will leave regardless of what league we are in as well so promotion this year is not that vital. For what It's worth I think we will finish second quite comfortably in the end.
  16. Doubt it, probably playing cards or on their PSPs etc.
  17. Probably what the lads were saying on the coach up to Walsall.
  18. That's my concern, to get promotion we need to out perform one of these, and we are not.
  19. If we fail to go up again then the person who must take ultimate responsibility is Cortese. Adkins is obviously a good manager, if he less successful here than at S****horpe then the Leibherrs have to ask why?
  20. Brighton would fill that ground easily in the Prem. People forget that the demographics of football has completely changed, it's not for the working classes anymore it's all about the middle class families taking their kids to go and see Rooney etc. Brighton like Southampton has a lot of potential because there are plenty of people with money nearby.
  21. Yeah but it's peanuts, probably 2p extra in the pound or something daft. I actually hope they go close to going up, it would make it even funnier next year when they try to rebuild their whole squad on peanuts.
  22. Cameron does come across like a bit of a bellend. His problem is he is completely detached from reality, he is clever enough to try and appear to be in touch with the people but he will never be that popular as long as the silver spoon is up his ass. Labour won't have to do much to kick him out next time. The alternatives are not great though. Clegg is a slimey nonce with no future after playing the honest John card then stabbing everyone who voted for him in the back. Milliband just looks like a Wallace and Gromit charachter who can't even speak right, if labour had appointed the right brother then there would have been someone who could be a decent leader. Unfortunately as ever the internal politics of Labour ****ed things up for them, no one will take that boggle eyed **** seriously.
  23. Not a bad comparison, any team that spends big risks having players turn up just for the pay packet. When you see how they performed against Man U it is obvious that motivation is a problem for games like Walsall, too many players who think just have to turn up to get results. I'm just hoping that being in our current position with games running out gives the players a wake-up call.
  24. Great win, another one on Tuesday could be the turning point with all the others having tricky fixtures.
  25. I'm getting fed up with these Chamberlain stories, one day we hear how he's worth 10million quid and Barcelona want him, then the next day he's made to look ordinary by Walsall and we lose.
