  1. Just seen Gadafi's speach, the bloke's a loon. This is going to have a very different ending to the Egyptian one.
  2. I'm just saying that if the club had a good relationship with the press, papers may be less inclined to publish unfounded speculation that may "destabalise" or annoy the club. I don't work in Newspapers so couldn't tell you if it would matter or not but I don't see how having a spat with the press would help. SFC didn't give a monkeys about he effect of the photographers ban on the press, why should the press give a monkeys about the effect of a rumour on the club?
  3. It's probably b*ll*cks, usually is when there is no source named. It's hardly surprising that the press don't think twice about printing made up stuff about Saints though after they tried to ban their photographers, pointless moaning about it now.
  4. He obviously paid it as part of the exclusivity for Pinnacle, whoever paid it is not important to the administrator, he was just making sure the wages would be paid - that was my point. d!ckhead
  5. I was under the impression Crouch paid for exclusivity. You are a pr!ck BTW.
  6. It was the administrator's fault but he didn't do anything wrong because the club received money for Pinnacle's exclusivity. They had nothing to lose in letting Pinnacle **** about because he knew he had Leibherr and probably others lined up.
  7. 1. Shilts 2. Neimi 3. Flowers 4. Jones 5. Beasant Was a tough choice between Beasant and Brucie for no5 but I gave it to Dodgy Dave for telling that joke to the entire away end at Alan Night's testimonial.
  8. It is amazing how the revolutions have caught on. It's just a matter of time before Gadafi gets overthrown, the more he kills the bigger and more determined the people will be. Kicking off in Iran as well.
  9. Because unless we are playing Bournemouth or Huddersfield our opponents won't give a sh!te who is available for the next game.
  10. The banks can't keep holding governments to ransom for ever, when the next bail out is needed there will be little appetite in this country to splash out tax payer's money again. They like to play the capitalist game when threatening to leave the UK yet conveniently forget about it when they hold out the begging bowl. Somethings got to change, they can't keep on sucking money out like they are.
  11. Ours, because we have the Leibherrs' money behind us. Simple as that, money is all that matters in football nowadays. is Cortese better at running a football club? that remains to be seen, the proof is in the results on the pitch and at he moment we are behind Bournemouth despite all our resources.
  12. A play-off spot is pretty good for a club with their resources. In fact staying up would be so you have to say Mitchell has done a wonderful job.
  13. And gets a club with next to no resources into a promotion spot.
  14. He did'nt say his source was Cortese or le Tiss, he could have just heard it down the pub for all you know.
  15. My point is that anonymous postings from anyone on an internet forum don't mean anything. if he said who said what to who, and who his source was you could say it's meaningful. From what I've heard Cortese has had a problem with le Tiss long before any of the stuff in the press, that's jsut what I've heard from a good source, doesn't make it fact though.
  16. What, someone who calls himself doggface, posts something he heard and it's suddenly important?
  17. I don't think the pile up will help.
  18. Maybe, or he could be doing just as he said.
  19. I don't see why Benali would just make something like that up, completely out of the blue, on live TV.
  20. I think the Tories are against it because more people hate them whereas Labour and Lib Dems will get a lot of 2nd votes of each other's supporters.
  21. I think AV is probably fairer, with the current system someone can win with 30% of the vote whilst being hated by the majority of the electorate. AV would be fairer if you didn't have to list all 5 in order, you should be able to just vote for your first choice if you want, otherwise you will get meaningless votes counted.
  22. Shut the f*ck up then.
  23. LOL at all the ***ts who ripped into Lawrie without even reading the article. F*ckwits.
  24. The USA economy is all about the private companies, most of the "trillions spent" as you put it would go to the American arms industry. Companies like Blackwater providing security are making billions - there are more private security personel in Iraq than American troops. The big corporations were the ones pulling the strings - the oil contracts were worth billions and Bush was up to his nuts in the oil industry. Another important thing is not just who profits from the oil but who CONTROLS the supply of oil. Oil worldwide is only ever sold in dollars so the US economy is effected by rises and falls in the price which is determined by supply. Saddam Hussein was a nasty dictator - but so is half the middle east so that can't be an excuse. Saddam Hussein sponsored terrorism in Palestine - definitely a motivation for the US to kick his ass but no excuse to kill hundreds of thousands. The Iraqi military barely had a working tank thanks to the years of sanctions, the idea that they had working WMDs is laughable, the US and UK knew 100% there were none IMO. A country HAVING WMDs has never been an excuse to invade, the opposite is true - do you really think they would have attacked if Iraq had the capability to gas half of Tel Aviv?
  25. No one has said they would rather have Mitchell but the success of a football club is judged by how well the team is doing, not by what buildings have been built. The Chairman is ultimately responsible for that success because he chooses the manager, creates the environment for him to work in and signs the cheques for the players. I am more than happy with how things are going at Saints, just think Bournemouth have done very well and it's only fair Mitchell should take credit for that
