  1. It's great to be superior, even better to be hated by tin-pot clubs like Brighton and Bournemouth.
  2. LOL, it's not rocket science. Try using your brain and working it out for yourself. XFactor uses a similar system and the chav masses of the UK can understand how that works.
  3. I agree, but that 10 minute spell was when the crowd were urging the team to get forward and finish off the game.
  4. That's why the crowd were uncomfortable at 1-0, we seemed to lack urgency to get the second IMO. You see Man Utd in those situations, the first goes in then bish bosh, it's 3-0.
  5. Yeah it was, but at 1-0 I thought they seemed to take their foot of the gas a bit and it almost let Hartlepool back in the game.
  6. I don't think anyone wanted us to hoof it upfield, just stop poncing around like we were 4-0 up when it was only 1-0, only a brilliant save by Kelvin stopped it all going pear-shaped today.
  7. Just hope Brighton don't throw the Huddersfield game out of spite - would be nice to seal promotion at Brentford.
  8. Good performance, was the sort of game where if we had took one of our early chances the floodgates would have opened.
  9. If the Russian Mafia do end up buying the club and promise to bankroll them again it will be interesting to see how many Skates protest about the Fit and Proper thing. They didn't give a flying **** when they were financed with dodgy blood money before.
  10. The best tactic to end this quickly would be to kill Gadaffi, f*ck the UN resolution. If any other countries are so bothered about how it's implemented why don't they chip in and help as well instead of sitting on their arses watching the mugs of the UK do everyone else's dirty work.
  11. Do you agree that in the final run off some people will be voting for their 2nd or 3rd choices though?
  12. Why do people bang on like it's a simple choice between US letting a massacre happen or blowing £1billion of tax payer's money we can't afford? There are 195 countries on this planet, let someone else do it for a change.
  13. The original candidates who received the fewest votes are knocked out until there is two left - that is essentially the same as AV but voting in different rounds. It doesn't matter what language you use to describe it, in the final "run off" some people are voting for their 2nd or 3rd choice. The Tories are against it because they know they will lose seats, you know that is the reason.
  14. Does this mean we are going to have to make abusive banners, change our matchday programme and play amusing music next time Poyet visits SMS?
  15. Without doubt, doesn't make any difference to the merits of either system though. The fact that the Tories use a similar system to elect their leader doesn't mean it is necessarily right as a voting system but it does make their blanket opposition hypocritical and obviously down to self interest.
  16. That method is no different to AV except voting is done in different rounds. And why oh why do you keep banging on about Labour, they are not pro or against AV. In fact you illustrate perfectly what is wrong with the current 2 party system. You have labeled yourself blue so agree with anything the blues say through fear of red without actually engaging your brain and deciding for yourself what is best.
  17. It's a pretty harmless throwaway comment. There must be some history between Brighton and Adkins before that. If not they have a seriously big chip on their shoulder.
  18. I'm amazed at how a bunch of fans who have just won the league can be so bitter - why do they give a sh!te what our manager says? They really are a tiny club with a massive chip on their shoulder, even worse than Bournemouth. It was great for Adkins to shove their pathetic comments back in their faces. I'm starting to like going to these small tin pot clubs that I don't give a monkeys about and having everyone really hate us, must be like what Man Utd get every other week.
  19. I'm amazed at how much they hate us. I don't get it, we are miles from Brighton and I've always thought of them as a nice little club. It's like the Bournemouth thing all over again, they are obsessed bless em.
  20. I think Labour are split over the issue.
  21. I still fail to see how registering your 2nd and 3rd choices can possibly be less democratic. In my opinion most people care about issues and are not passionate about a particular party. If two, three or four parties fall in line with what you believe in then surely it is right to be able to register your support for them? I live in a area that is usually a straight choice between Tory and Lib Dem so have never voted for the party that most represents my views because it would be a wasted vote. AV would give me the chance to vote for what I believe.
  22. But surely democracy is all about gauging the opinions of the voters. If people like the policies of 2 or 3 parties, or hate one particular party surely that is just as valid as someone who passionately supports 1 single party? If you don't want your vote counted more than once you don't have to put a 2nd or 3rd choice so I don't see why you are concerned with how many times your card is used. From what I can see the only reason certain parties are against it is for their own selfish reasons.
  23. I agree with OldNick, Forte and N'Guessan have not exactly set the league alight.
  24. That's nonsense, if you didn't like a candidate you wouldn't put them as any choice.
  25. That is a blow, Barnard has been superb this season. With Chambo, Scheiderlin and Lallana also knackered getting that 2nd spot would be a massive achievement.
