  1. You are forgetting that even in the premier league we are nowhere near the top of the food chain. Players generally want to play for the biggest clubs. If they are interested 99 times out of 100 its just a matter of when not if. Our best chance is if Saints can match what they offer money wise and OXO feels he will be better off learning through playing real football not tappy tappy reserve sh!t and wants to hang round for a season or two - the best thing for his career, if Walcott had done that he would be a better player now, in my opinion.
  2. That's what puts people's back up over this, it's the double standards shown by the press more than the McCanns themselves. Except they seem like the sort of middleclass t@ssers who would be the first to have a go at a Chav single mother who neglected their kids to go out on the p!ss. I just find the whole thing so boring, I can't believe the newspapers still write about it or people still want to read about it.
  3. The person I voted for in the General Election did win. I voted for Chris Hune who campaigned using the fantastic slogan of "Labour can't win here" because our dumb voting system meant voting for who I actually believe in was pointless - great form of democracy that isn't it? The mong millions have given Clegg a kick in the nuts - bravo.
  4. There is a fair chance he will stay, I think he will develop much better playing first team football here than stuck in Arsenal reserves for eternity playing tippy tappy b*llox learning how to win f*ck all. I still wouldn't be surprised if he goes this summer but we are lucky enough to be in a position to take money out of the equation. Make him a millionaire before his 18th birthday and he might not do a Theo.
  5. I think Lambert and Barnard will a decent job in the CCC but I would still bring in two quality front men. We will definitely need some pace up front.
  6. Would be great if he does stay, with him and Lallana in the side we would probably have the best two wide players in the Championship. They are the sort of players that can win you the league. Whoever started this thread is talking b@ll@x, the fact that he played today just means he was fit - nothing else.
  7. The best football I've seen Saints play was under Nicholl but out of that list... 1. Strachan 2. Hoddle 3. Adkins 4. Jones 5. Ball
  8. It's unfortunate but AV didn't stand a chance because it was associated with Clegg. There could have been a referendum for free beer and No would have won if it was Glegg's idea. Oh well, back to my vote meaning jack sh!t for at least the next decade.
  9. The Greens will never run the country, in my opinion it would be wise if they have more of an influence though, to stop the UK sleep-walking into the inevitable energy/environmental disaster.
  10. I liked this comment at the end... "And in the schadenfreude stakes Saints supporters can sing of the distinct possibility that [to the tune of Yellow Submarine]: 'Fratton Park is a future block of flats, future block of flats, future block of flats' etc.. Perhaps Matt Slater of the BBC would like to comment...."
  11. Would be fantastic watching Bournemouth and Pompey battle over the 23rd/24th spots next season.
  12. I voted yes to AV and Green for my local council so I had might as well rolled up my vote slip and poked it up my arse.
  13. The rumours last year were obviously correct but it doesn't matter now. Cortese is getting the important things right, that's all that matters - doesn't mean it's wrong to critcise anything though, feedback is always useful.
  14. I didn't say worst, of course other people and wars over history have killed more people. 9/11, As a single act has to go down as one of the most evil when you take into account it's objectives, planning/thinking behind it and the fact it organised by an educated man in 2001. I wouldn't expect you to understand what I meant though.
  15. From what I've read from Bin Laden's victims and their famillies they seem pretty happy with the outcome re:closure, maybe you know better? As for why? Bin laden has already told us why, I don't know what answers you are seeking. As for all this Martin Luther King b@ll@x, I don't disagree with the sentiments but this is not an average tit for tat killing we are talking about. It's the World's most wanted man who committed the single most evil act bar the holocaust, killed whilst resisting arrest - it was a special case. He had become such an icon, justice meant so much to so many people, and incarnation and trial would have been such a circus, I think what was dished out was very appropriate.
  16. I would be happy to pay a lot more, you get what you pay for at the end of the day. I would appreciate a payment plan, makes it easy.
  17. Hopefully the club will have the balls to invite MLT, would be odd having this sort of game without him there.
  18. I disagree. I think Bin laden would have been a bigger headache for the US in custody than holed up somewhere in Pakistan. His trial would have just been a circus, the last thing we wanted is to give him is any publicity or platform to spread his poison. 'Buried at sea' is perfect, it means the US have done/can do what they please with him, wether he is dead or alive.
  19. Killing Bin Laden will not end the violence, letting him live will not end the violence - in the short term there will probably be revenge attacks but in the long term the world will be a safer place with Bin Laden not in it. What it does do is give the US and family and friends of the 9/11 victims some sort of closure, a feeling that justice has been done. For that reason alone it is worth raising a glass to the US Navy Seals. Surely even a brain dead c*nt like you can understand that?
  20. Aim has to be automatic, the Championship is full of sh!t as Norwich have proved this year.
  21. Well done Huddersfield, they must be gutted to miss out after playing so well. It would be great to have Bournemouth in the Championship though.
  22. The Prince bags his princess, the bad guy gets shot, and Saints get promoted. Carlsburg don't do bank holidays, but if they did...
  23. Would be great if Bournemouth get promoted as well. Then we could have us, Brighton, Reading and Bournemouth beating the sh!t out the skates next year.
  24. Sounded superb on solent.
  25. I don't actually think we need that many players. I would replace Jaidi, and replace N'Guessan and Forte with two quality attacking players. The rest - as you are unless chamberlain goes.
