There is no denying that even allowing for the lack of pre-season preparation Pardew's results have not been good enough. No point thinking about managerial change yet but if results are still this bad in a months time I expect Cortese to start wondering if he is the right person for the job. With Pardew's appointment there was always a chance of a Burley type situation where a manager comes in with a big reputation who is more interested in the paypacket than working hard.
