  1. Try learning to read ****-head, I never said we should sack him.
  2. I have no doubt the squad is better becuase Pardew has spent millions, I thought as a team we were better against Millwall on day 1 though.
  3. He looked good when he came on but that's no surprise because he was brought on as an extra midfielder against 10 men who showed little desire to attack. Perfect stage to showcase his nice touches and Hollywood passes without having to do things that proper midfielders do like tackle and track back.
  4. I swear you said we had a chance of promotion at the start of the season - what's changed?
  5. It's all just excuses, at the start of the season most people on here expected us to be challenging for the play-offs.
  6. But do we want to be stuck with another Burley - good record but someone who's had his day and just cannot be bothered. It's too early to sack him but if I was Cortese I would be worried.
  7. How long do they give Pardew? you cannot ignore the fact that he ****ed Charlton up big time.
  8. Bournemeouth are not doing too badley, they've been in admin and havn't been able to spend a penny. Why can Eddie Howe produce a winning team yet Pardew can spend millions but cannot?
  9. I think this is the sort of attitude which sums up Saints at the moment, we are 11 points adrift of safety, only Tranmere have worse form than us, yet this idiot says "otherwise we will be in a relegation battle again". It's time to wake up - WE ARE IN A RELEGATION BATTLE. The team today was awful, couldn't even beat a 10 man Colchester.
  10. Not good enough, Pardew needs to start earning his crust if he wants to keep his job IMO.
  11. Scotland was the perfect job for Burley, any other job and they would have realised he was ****e 6 months ago.
  12. Camara is class, apart from Quashie he was the only one who showed any bottle at fratton park on that day.
  13. Yeah that makes sense, they can shoot lasers thousands of miles to hit a tiny mirror and measure the rebound - but they cant come up with a decent photograph of shed loads of space junk and a f**k-off great big flag.
  14. melodramatic adjective showing much stronger emotions than are necessary or usual for a situation.
  15. You would have won some money.
  16. I just thought it was funny, MLT deserved to earn some extra money because his wages were crap compared to even average players now, and alot at the time. Totally harmless fun IMO, the only possible loser were the bookies and I couldn't give a stuff about them, they deserve to lose money.
  17. More importantly, if he is dipping into his pockets is gifted or a Gaydamak style loan?
  18. Davis Murty Trotman Jaidi Harding Mellis Hammond James Lallana Papa D'Wango Lambert
  19. Topless barmaids at the Alfred.
  20. Are we talking about the same Scheiderlin that couldn't even make the Southampton starting line-up against Stockport?
  21. No chance of play-offs, we will do well to stay up after such a poor start.
  22. "The motives behind Gaydamak’s decision to pull the plug on the deal appear to bring into question who actually owned the club in the first place." If it turned out that the club was owned by Gaydamak Snr would the Premier League take any action? They basically took the **** out of their Fit and Proper Person test, surely a points deduction would be appropriate?
  23. They withdraw our support when they saw that Lowe was making a complete pigs ear of it and sending us down. If we looked like staying up they would have still backed us. The worrying thing for the Skates is that I think their debt is secured against future TV money, if they go down they are fooked.
  24. I'm not a huge fan of the BBC but anything that annoys Murdoch must be good. This is fantastic: "News Corporation, which owns Sky television, lost $3.4bn (£2bn) in the year to the end of June" If Sky went tits up then the Premier League would be screwed.
  25. There is no denying that even allowing for the lack of pre-season preparation Pardew's results have not been good enough. No point thinking about managerial change yet but if results are still this bad in a months time I expect Cortese to start wondering if he is the right person for the job. With Pardew's appointment there was always a chance of a Burley type situation where a manager comes in with a big reputation who is more interested in the paypacket than working hard.
