  1. OMG!! Who is swirling??
  2. It may only me, but I felt that we played well today until we got to the 18yd box. We were by far the better team but strangely lacking when it came to finishing, when you consider our goal scoring exploits of the last few games.
  3. This :- http://www.showofhands.co.uk/2010/11/01/covers-2/ Something like their 20th Album is acoustic covers of songs by Springsteen, Stereophonics, Bob Marley, and many more. Excellent stuff!
  4. "Only one way to find out......."
  5. The thing is that history can be massaged to "prove" anything. Corp, for example, bangs on about the two 4-1`s as though they are proof that Skates are better than us, whereas I think that we have an overall win ratio of 19-9 (including the fact that we have won more of the games at FP that they have). History isn`t just about results on a page. How does our 30-odd year time in the top division come into the equation? I am very excited about Saints ATM, and have immense pride in what is going on at the club and the way it is being acheived. I feel clean. Can any Skate, in all honesty, claim that?
  6. A bloke walks into a brothel and says: "I'm a bit kinky, how much for total humiliation?" The madam replies £60. "Wow, what do I get for that," he says. She says: "A baggy green cap and an Australia shirt
  7. You might upset docker-p though!
  8. I think that we signed Tim Flowers from Wolves and Dodd from Bath(?)
  9. I stand corrected!
  10. Depends how far you want to go back but didn`t MLT and the Wallace Brothers all come through the Academy??
  11. Sadly I missed this as I was at the World Final Speedway at Wembley Stadium at the time!
  12. Sorry. I was thinking of this one:- 1976/1977English Division 2 (old)Southampton1-0Wolverhampton Wanderers03-05-1977 English Division 2 (old)Wolverhampton Wanderers2-6Southampton05-10-1976
  13. I was at Carlisle and Wolves although not at Oldham last night. If my memory serves me correctly the Wolves score was 2-6.
  14. TBF no decision will be made by the fans. The results of any poll can be seen by NC and the family and any decision will be theirs.
  15. We are all posting with smiles on our faces!
  16. This really is quite wrong. You only have to look down the unfashionable end of the M27 to see what getting the wrong owner (or owners in their case) can mean. ML`s actions have given us a team that we can be proud of - given us our pride back. He has given us a well structure club with hopefully a stable and secure future. For the first time in many years (including time in the Prem) we are going to games with high expectations and coming away with smiles on our faces. We can look to the future with excitement because of what he has done for our club, and to belittle that by calling him a footnote is really not understanding the quite monumental turnaround in the clubs fortunes. I suppose that MLT, for example, is also only a footnote. After all he only played for a handful of years out of 125!
  17. Just had this e-mailed to me from Saints Marketing. Anyone know anything about them? http://www.exsaints.co.uk/?c1=Bonds

  19. That`s wind!!
  20. I think that the Palace job and the pressure to keep them up would have been too big for him in the same way as I think being Saints manager would. He always comes across to me as a moaning, petulant little school boy when things go against him, and has anyone ever seen him smile?? I am not convinced that he has the confidence in himself that others seem to have in him. Time will tell of course.
  21. I read the Mail and I think that they just mentioned that we had made eight changes in response to Holloways bleatings about them making nine changes. I certainly never saw any mention of NA disrespecting the cup. As I said in an earlier post I thought that the Mail (and the Telegraph) had quite good balanced reports yesterday.
  22. TBF, I did read some half-decent reports in yesterday papers (Mail/Telegraph). Admittedly they did make a bit deal of Holloways bleatings, but gave a fair asseement of the game saying how one-sided it was, unlike ITV whose "highlights" gave the impression that it was 50/50.
  23. "Guly has agreed to make his loan move from Cesena permanent, a decision Adkins welcomes with open arms". Seems fairly definite.
