  1. EARWIG O (Les Barker) Little Mrs Earwig, she had a little son. She called the baby Earwig A, for he was number one. The second she called Earwig B. Earwig C came next. D and E soon followed, then F as you'd expect. G and H were subsequent. I and J came then. K, L and M were triplets, but who followed Earwig N? Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O. In the Insects league cup final, he gave the crowd a treat. He gave the stick insects some stick. Earwig O could not be beat-o. His first goal was a header, and his second sewed it up. His third made it a hat-trick. Epsom Earwigs won the cup! All the grasshoppers were chanting, all the spiders hand in hand in hand in hand in hand in hand in hand in hand, As they sung the Earwig anthem, and it echoed round the stand: Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O. Little Mrs Earwig, I wonder if you know That your fifteenth little offspring is the famous Earwig O? "Earwig O" they sing at Wembley, "Earwig O" at White Hart Lane, At the Oval, and Old Trafford, "Earwig O Wig O" again. "Earwig O" they chant at Chelsea, and the Royal Albert Hall. Some talk of Alexander Beetle, but the greatest of them all... Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O. Little Mrs Earwig, does it fill your heart with joy? When they sing about your son-o, do you whisper "That's my boy"? Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O. Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O, Earwig O. Just transcribed from a tape of the BBC Radio 2 programme 'Mrs Ackroyd Explores Her Roots' from about 10 years ago! I always knew they'd come in useful sometime, if I kept them long enough!
  2. I suppose only time will tell. IF they are on the same slippery slope as we have been on then I don`t envy them at all. At least we have , I hope, bottomed-out and are slowly on the way back up. If they manage to stay up and re-establish themselves in the Prem then that`s a different matter!
  3. David James next to go?? http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/sport/football/article-1209971/James-quit-crisis-club-Pompey-prepare-lose-England-star.html
  4. Les Barker has a lot to answer for!

  6. We are currently 11 points from safety. Survival would be acceptable this season. Anything else would be a bonus. I would love us to be in the play-offs, but AP hasn`t even finished building his team yet. We have to be realistic.

  9. We have not been able to take a game by the scruff of the neck and kill it off since well before we were relegated from the Prem. What is the problem?? When was the last time we got to maybe 70 mins into a game and felt confident that we had it in the bag? This is our real problem. Lack of confidence. We haven`t had it since WGS. How do we solve this?
  10. There you go!! Well done. Another convert to the Grammar Police!!
  11. Indeed!
  12. TBF there were very few (if any) rumours regarding the signings that AP has made so far. He has generally been able to keep things under wraps.
  13. You should probably have put a full stop after the word "book". You could, of course, have used the word "and" between the words "book" and "I've" and that would have been acceptable.
  14. Are you Matt Le Tissier???
  15. Well, that`s shut us up then hasn`t it??
  16. Don`t forget the poll on the SFA website for new Scotland manager that George Burley won by a landslide!
  17. Brown signed for "nominal fee".
  18. Anyone posted THAT youtube video in a Poopey forum yet??
  19. With all due respect, I don`t think that his loyalty was for the wrong reasons or misplaced. The only person who will know that for certain would be MLT himself. Only he will know if he has many regrets with the way his career turned out. He said in his interview that he had two ambitions - one was to be a pro footballer and the second was to play for England and he acheived both. It may be argued that his ambitions were lowly, compared with some, but that is for him to decide. It is a bit like someone working for a company and being offered another job for more money etc but deciding to stay where he is because he likes the company, the people he works with and is very happy with what he is doing. Is that wrong or unambitious? As far as the "ego" thing goes, as I said, I have met him a few times and I see him like everyone else on TV and I have never heard any body even remotely suggest that he has an ego problem. Being from The Channel Island may mean that he has a more "layed back" attitude than some. That`s no bad thing.
  20. "Ego and arrogance"?? Give me a break!! Having met the man on a few occaisions, a more down-to-earth sports star it would be hard to find. I really can hear the sound of a barrell-bottom being scraped!
  21. Sorry you Cheeky Monkey, this wasn`t aimed at you. I was basically confirming, as you said, that of course he had failings and we are all aware of them but they do not detract from his reputation. Another poster, whose name escapes me, is continously dripping on about them.
  22. How many FACTS are your witch-hunts against Crouch, McMenemy, MLT etc based on? I have seen a lot of (negative) conjecture and supposition and "opinions" in your rants against these people but but very few verifiable facts. Pot/Kettle I would suggest.
  23. So MLT is an egoist as well now is he?? It is going to be interesting how much further you will go with your character assassination of him.
  24. I think that what you say is largely true. Matt certainly had some failings ( he is human after all!!) but as I posted elsewhere, Saints fans just don`t care about them. Anyone continuosly carrying on about these "failings" like a dripping urinal, is quite simply wasting their time if they think that ANY Saints fan is going to change their opinion of him. He was not perfect - live with it. He gave us so many good times, I can forgive for him any minor defects.
