But surely it would depend on how deep and meaningful the relationship was for you to really be offended!

You`re probably right! It is difficult to differenciate, though, between the English/ Welsh stuff (from both sides) and the same things that happen at a local derby. Strange!

Ask the Welsh (or Scots or Irish) if they are a different race from the English. You may get some interesting answers!

Just finished watching the absolutely superb "John Adams" on DVD. It`s an HBO production telling the story of the American Independence struggle and of John Adams (second President of the USA after George Washington). Recently shown on Channel 4, with excellent performances from Paul Giamatti, Laura Linney and Tom Wilkinson, I can`t recomend it highly enough.

Radio Hants Third Half favourite Cider Bob said tonight that Euell is the worst player ever to play for Saints! The mans an idiot! (Cider Bob that is!). Euell was outstanding today. He held the ball, got stuck in and was a real hand-full. I heard the crowd chanting his name quite a few times. Perhaps now we will see him in his best position.

May have already seen mine. Saw Bellowhead (all 11 of them!)at The Brook last night. Absolutely staggering! So much energy.

For really old gits, who remembers the Concorde Club when it was at The Bassett in Burgess Road? Had some great, great nights there in the 60`s. Also the Waterfront Club in Woolston. Had some big, big bands there. Used to go to The Park Ballroom above the tailors shop on the corner opposite the Odeon Cinema. Great Days!

And replaced with what? Communism?? Are you saying that there were not rich and poor in the Eastern Bloc? Not social injustice? Whatever system you introduce, there are always people who want to be top of the pile, that will always want that bit more than everyone else. I am not saying that Capitalism is the be all and end all but there has to be a workable alternative and I am not sure that the Human Race has come up with it yet.

Probably a good idea to register on one of the property website such as Rightmove http://www.rightmove.co.uk/ and put in you priorities. A lot af developers are still working but very much at a snails pace!
