  1. Yeah, well good luck with that!
  2. I did actually highlight the "trick or treat" bit. The marking of All Hallows Eve is certainly not American.
  3. I would like to see Daren Wheelers excellent column from the Pink reproduced on here. His views are usually well thought out, logical and sensible. They deserve a wider audience (geographically speaking).
  4. Apparently Poole are planning to hold a New Year meeting on January 4th next year. This follows on from the sucessful meetings held at Newport. Something to look forward to over the Christmas break.
  5. Give it a rest! One trick pony! Despite his Christian leanings HE IS NOT GOD!
  6. My pet hate is when people use "of" instead of "have" as in "I could of..." instead of "I could have...."
  7. Why are we so keen to adopt American "traditions". We have plenty of our own.
  8. Absolutely anybody could have asked me and I still wouldn`t have done it!
  9. Yeah. Sorry. I had a some very good wine at lunchtime and I posted on the wrong forum and couldn`t be asked to delete this thread. It won`t happen again (probably!).
  10. Unless he was going to spend the week-end with Leon!

  13. No he shouldn`t. He missed!
  14. I do hope that someone from the club reads this forum and takes note of the general feelings of most people here. St Jason is just one of an increasing number feeling this way. Mind you Rupert knows best so we are probably all members of the "Lunatic Fringe" now.
  15. Saw in todays paper the he needs another operation on his knee and that is why he hasn`t played for Stoke so he would not have been playing for us had he still been here. Who know how long his recouperation time will be?
  16. Billy Davies??
  17. Whilst I agree that, at least in the short term, MLT and Franny would certainly bring that crowds back I do fear that should things go wrong, due to their lack of managerial experience, (and investment) it would only be short-term fix thatwould sully the memory of two legendary names. We do, however, need some feelgood factor that is going to last. We have never been "winners" as a club, but we as fans have had wonderful adventures and memories over the years. We don`t need or expect to win things, but we do need to feel good sometimes, and it has been a mighty long time since that happened!!
  18. Joe Dolce anyone?
  19. He also said, just after they were promoted that it came 2 seasons too early. They were not actually ready to be in the PL. So it proved.
  20. it was me!! I am spartacus!!
  21. Perhaps "Der Fuerherbunker" is a better example. Maybe der Fuerher could test the poison on his pet dog Blondi (sorry - Wildie) first!
  22. The thing that I couldn`t understand with Wigley was that a few weeks before he got the job, he said that he didn`t want it because he wasn`t ready to step up. What changed in a few weeks? I remember distinctly that on the day that he was appointed he was to be "caretaker manager" and after a couple of hours it was announced that he was to be Manager. "Persuasion" from a certain quarter perhaps??
  23. Bobby Ewing? Shower?
  24. I just feel sorry for JP. Yes, I feel that he is out of his depth, but he was offered an opportunity that he couldn`t really have dreamed of. What would you do in his position? He is honest and, I think, committed, but he is not a CCC manager and is an "experiment" too far.
