The Transfer Window isn't even open for another week or so and already this is the most depressing place to be......so many negative moaners. I am not expecting miracles, but I am hopeful (based on nothing at all) that things will be better this year than last.

I thought that before his injury, Salisu was immense but since coming back he seems off the pace with his decision making. I think that given time he will be outstanding. As for Bednarek, he certainly isn't anywhere near as bad as some on here make out. I think that he is decent, but average CB.

Me too. Started watching Saints as a young shaver, standing on a biscuit tin so that I could see over the wall at the Milton Road end where the players came out. Got my first ST in 1974 and had one ever since. My daughter, who was born four days after the FA Cup win in 76 (what week that was!!) started coming with me when she was 15 and shortly after bought her own ST next to mine and we have been going to matches together ever since. Sort of fell out of love with football over the years but still matchdays with the Saints. It's a way of life. As you say...where would I find another team now?

I have been watching Saints since the late 1950's and have seen it all....however....the last half of the season has been one of the worse I have witnessed....

I always remember during a match at the Dell, the ball going out for a throw in which went to the opposition. Someone near us said that they thought that it was a Saints throw but his mate said that it wasn't because it came off the corner of Dowies head! Thought it was funny at the time and still makes me chuckle now when I think of it...

You said that he waited until the game was lost before making changes. The game was lost after 15 mins. Were you expecting him to change things before that?
