Does make you smile at the media game of Jenga, once again we are riding high and the media are beginning to blow sunshine up our backside while building a pile of wooden blocks under us, come December they will all start pulling the blocks out praying for another tumble to provide column inches for tomorrow's chip paper. Whilst on that article the bit at the bottom about the remaining Prima Donnas at Manure having a heated moan at Van Gaal about "why the hell he took off di Maria" at 3-3 must have David Moyes smiling quietly to himself. Just as amazing Arsenal will only let Vermalen go to Man U if Smalling goes the other way!!! Arsenal must have sussed out how to play the media superbly as that has to be a Red Herring swap.

If you notice while he was still on the floor Yoshida was holding his head and neck in obvious pain. As for lazy reporting the fact that most Journos (and Merson at the time) still had the first yellow for a tackle on Fonte even in Sundays papers.

Cobblers........ Let's have a crack at the chuffin lot........... It'll be a wheeze!!

Post-Match Reaction: Swansea 0-1 SAINTS
John Boy Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Gary Monk had a moan in his direction that he never showed his face at Swansea games despite having English players ("better that the shoite you normally pick" said under his breath in the same sentence). -

Cheers for that me think of my mate Bruno who I have seen less frequently since he retired and both of us have moved. He is Saints mad, and has been since moving here from Italy in his early 20s, we both went to an evening game down the Dell and as we had time to spare I took him to the visitor centre and viewing platform, he would never have gone there himself, I had trouble dragging him away to the game as after so many false dawns of a new stadium he was in awe at actually seeing it being built before his very own eyes. -

Just as an aside, eating out the other day I had a chocolate mousse for pudding and it had a young Basil tip as dressing up, not paying attention a bit of Basil got mixed up in the mousse: blimey what a great combination!! sorry for deviating the thread away from chips and mayonnaise. -
As time ticks by if the defectors continue to fail to perform to their transfer value it shows what a tidy job the club did in selling them for such handsome fees. The flip side of that is will it be harder getting those prices next time around?

In a different vein we won't have Salmond hijacking the Ryder Cup opening and closing ceremonies with smugness.

Ooooh might get along to that Hayling Game should be a toughie, I must google where they play their internationals to see if it's Havant and Waterlooville or Nottarf Krap just like Gibraltar play their games in Faro Portugal. (Remember that one pub quizzers). As always a good read.

Bear take a trip to Bruges this winter, take in the sights, drink some interesting beers, buy some souvenirs and Chocolates. Then go to the Chip cart in the main square by the clock tower and ask for chips and mayonnaise: Mmmmmmmmm if you try it here make sure it's not cheapo nasty mayo. -
Kevin Davies' Top Ten Football Grounds
John Boy Saint replied to Beckenham Saint's topic in The Saints
I liked the August midweek games, where a normally nice sunny day gave way to a pleasant evening, nice new lush grass accentuated by the floodlights as twilight turned into the purple of night! Bolton home first home game of the season 1978 (2-2) was just such an evening and a lasting memory of those balmy August evenings................... and boy did Frank Worthington stink of embrocation (how the chuff he pulled so many birds stinking like that had a teenage nipper slightly confused). -
Ron mentioned looking forward to Mane coming into the team on Saturday evening on Solent (if memory serves me well) in the same sentence as the return of Rodriguez will be like a another new signing. If there was anything to get your knickers in a twist over this it would have slipped out by now: especially as the media know everything there is to know from tip to toe of the club!

And we aren't Manchester bloody United.
-
Maybe that because he looks like an upside down pint of Guiness!! I'll get my coat
-
Apparently that's what he says when he puts the afterburners on................ Supposed to be quicker than Johnno Quick!!
-
Schadenfreude is something we are good at on here............. And we have 3 prime suspects to keep our hunger for it fed for a while. You would hope that by 25 in a position you have been playing in for years you, would have gotten an idea as to how to lead in your job especially as you have just become one of the more expensive defenders in world football and handsomely paid too, as they always say the grass always looks greener...............
