There are some strange people out there. I bet it is a cracking night in round their house!!
-
There was a report during USA 94 that American housewives liked soccer compared to American football as they knew what time the game was going to finish and the husband would be home from the Bar.

Bit of a scalp away to Boro too!!

My Missus has a season ticket, footy on the TV she's the first to tuned it over. And to be honest she spots most of the donkeys playing for us long before most on here or the Manager For that matter and will back her observations as to why up. Me playing Golf...................... Hmmmmm which way is the wind blowing??

Didnt Kamil Kosowski start Scarecrows R Us with Mikael Nillson, who is gainfully employed in a European field scaring....... um er...... Crows and waiting for his Mate Kamil to join him full time when he finishes playing with Wisla Krakow. Wasnt Frederico Arias the one nicknamed the Torpedo? If he was he sank without a trace (as will that poor gag when it turns out to be another winkle we bought and never played).

If true then Wigan wouldnt be too shabby a place to go under a decent manager as well, Coyle seemed to get Daniel Sturridge firing on all cylinders. Mayuka just needs game time, and going on the questions about formations and the like he was asking Jos when sat behind me at the Llagostera game he needs just a little guidance too. He is still only a youngster in the grand scheme of things.

A* Nice one Bearsy.

Not having looked at the buying regime and relying on a mate who normally gets away tickets for us as I was passing SMS I said that I would go and pick them up. Went through all the palaver then got told you can't have your tickets as you didn't do 4 away games last year: oops "I can still sell you your friend Simons ticket, but not you or your wife's" " would you like me to put that through for you, and you can come back on Monday for the other 2". I thought this was a strange comment in that it was obvious we wanted to be sat together simply by me asking for 3 tickets at the beginning. It was almost like a smirking "your mates ok but tough on you". i should have played my Joker and shown him my Llagostera v Saints ticket that is still in my wallet to double our tally as reward for making the effort to see Saints in Spain!!

Nice work Bearsy: good to see you showing some previously unseen maturity in contributing such an excellent piece on the Main board. I am sure the regulars on here would like to see more informative pre match pieces like this from you. Without doubt Saint Armstrong will be delighted in knowing he has such able deputy: and from such an unexpected sauce too!! Well done.

Blimey!! J Rod hits the front in the race to be the main target thread subject of hate and vitriol on SWF for the season 2013/14 despite a competative ball yet to be kicked!! No danger of splinters in your backside eh mate!!

I live in a house of 3 of the fairer sex, they say that by some quirk of Mother Nature's sadistic side when the painters rock up to put up the scaffolding up on a monthly basis in a house of Women that synchronisation will develop with this phenomena. In our house Mother Nature decided to wind me up by letting them work as a tag team, overlapping as they go resulting in 2.75 weeks out of 4 weeks being a joy to behold. Thank god for Golf! Or maybe not: one week are you playing Golf on Saturday next week "don't you dare even think about playing Golf his weekend!!???!!". Thankfully one has gone through the personal summer experience ( however the 'fingerprint' is still there!!), but the youngest has decided she will make up for her Mum by dishing out double the vitriol onto her poor old Pa!

If you are happy self catering have a look at here http://www.campingkims.com/en/ Its a nice part of the World on a quiet and non commercial stretch of Coastline being close to the Pyrenees means that up until around July the temperature and weather can be a bit more tiny people friendly than further South (says a man who took his 8 month old to South Af.rica donkeys years ago) Ryanair fly direct into Girona about an hour away. Barcelona proper is 2 hrs away driving sensibly. All the rich Barcelonans come here for their weekend escapes. One of my customers with a sprout not long out of the "factory" came to this part of the world in late April early May and said that they loved it. If you like kiss me quick fish and chips washed down with Watneys Red Barrel ignore here like the plague, if you just want to unwind with ease give it a look. Even if you ignore here specifically it gives you and ideal of the area.

Like has been alluded to above, played like his backside was on fire whilst on loan. Got a permanent contract and reached for his pipe and slippers. bit like Rasiak and Skacel who flattered to deceive in reality and like a mate said while we watched Saints V Norwich on the eve of the transfer window closing "Blimey Rasiak and Rudi will be up for a drugs test tonight!!" next day one was at Bolton the other, if I am correct was at a Berlin club.

As well as his pending day in court, not long after he turned up at QPR didn't an underlying per existing injury appear on the horizon? I think this chap has the whiff of Delgado about him.

Saints near the bottom for players signed, any cause to panic?

We're Doomed- Doomed I say!! We must spend billions to be a great club!! It appears we have another draft of nippers coming through from the academy. Anybody got any issues with Luke or James from last season? I expect Calum will be the pick of this years crop that all the big clubs will be sniffing around in no time. It baffles me that people think that we should just piddle money up the wall on alsorts of ordinary to gain any credibility in the world of Football. I expect a slagging for this but based on last years performance we got mugged right off with the £12m we coughed up for Ramirez, compare him to Shaw who by comparison cost us mere bobbins by comparison, which of the 2 were the big fish reputitly sniffing round. If Cortese was to open negotiations today to sell him whoever bought him probably wouldn't see much change out of £15-£20m+ especially as he has Prem experience under his belt and is English born. So Chelsea for example buy Shaw tomorrow (for those who dont know Chelsea had Shaw on their books before telling him he was too small to make it with them at the age of 12!!) for £18m plus add-ons etc does that really make Chelsea better than Saints because they have spent £18m more than us on what we got for nothing?!! -
I often thought he never got the ball he wanted played for him, there was no doubt he was fast but far too many times a ball to him was played behind him making him slam on the brakes to collect the ball which just nullified his impact. He got to the stage where when he did come on he just tried too damn hard to make an impact which just made him look ordinary.
-
Ditto for Palafrugell. Jos was sat behind me in the stand, and going on his comments he was impressed with the way Calum was playing, especially his corners were very good too.
-
I think I might just go for the Travelling/Support Staff Polo shirt should it become available is very smart. IMO

You wonder if the tattooist wanted to write Pillock!!

Although I only saw Chambers against Llagostera, I have to say that I was impressed that for a big lad he has some pace, and that he has a good eye for the game and the positioning of others. Took far superior corners to Lallana too. In the grand scheme of things with 2 academy lads getting a run out in the Premiership last year and being un-fazed by it then another 3-4 being groomed for first team action this year, any promising youngster out there being given various academy options is going to see that with Saints they stand a damn good chance of actually playing at the top level of Football if they really want it. Unlike Chelsea who have bored kids who will be extremely lucky to make the first team in the prem bringing knives and smoke grenades into the training ground to pass the time.
-
Who was that other nipper on the books at Manure who was a pretty gifted footballer? He carried on hanging out with his scummy Mosside mates robbing stuff and Mugging people when he had no need to. Last I heard he went to West Ham as United just lost patience with him.
-
And all you perverts will be able to stalk his cranially vacuous girlfriend round West Quay!! Which is probably the real reason so many on here are keen to see it happen!
