  1. Come on, you must have been impressed at the accuracy with which he managed to pass it to the same player in the same position twice in quick succession. He probably swapped slippers with Djenepo, the amount of time he spent slipping onto his arse.
  2. Shame it was the other way round always thought the name Sincil Bank just had something about it - but one to knock off the list before they moved. And visited the Christmas Market with Mrs JBS. Before someone pulls on their anorak and goes all MLG yes I know it’s currently the LNER stadium.
  3. Blimey the game will be kicking off in a minute
  4. Could be Bournemouth
  5. Chicken! 🤪 Penalties were pretty good last night, because they were fraught with danger as each Saints player who stepped up, aside from Prowsey, had shown in recent games that the couldn’t hit the goal from within 6 yards let alone 12. It was quite funny as each one stepped up the regulars around us were looking through there fingers. When the first Wednesday penalty squirmed in under McCarthys arm you did think “was that the chance”. Thanks for heading home early as after watching the Liverpool penalties on the concourse TV with lots of others getting out of Southampton was very easy 😁
  6. Going by the results elsewhere looks like nobody in the top flight had a breeze against lower opposition. Wednesday obviously saw it as a free hit and the way we were playing gave them the confidence to get busy. Edozie was about the only bright spark out, but had no one showing for him to unload to after his endeavour. Perraud coming on certainly added a bit of oomph , he needs to have word in Maras ear to tell him to stop being so French Ligue 1 - and get up to Premier League speed. Mrs JBS who as I have mentioned before has a damn good eye for football, uttered that he needs a kick up the backside as he just seems to waft about. As for Aribo someone must have switched his left and right boots about as he looked like they were on the wrong feet. Overall there seemed to be an air of the school classroom when the teacher has been called away and there is no danger of being up before the headmaster in the morning.
  7. I see the timber has been delivered to The Common next to the boating lake so that construction of the ducking stool can commence! Some of the stuff I am reading on these pages is remarkable. There were big protests talked up on here when Poch arrived - aside from a weak chorus of "one Nigel Adkins" the flaming torch holding pitchfork wielding baying mob whipped up into frenzy on here, turned out to be like a cheap box of Family Fireworks.
  8. Yeah thanks - just like @Harry_SFC that night was fading quite nicely - I'd done a full days work over the Pennines that day and with a work oppo headed to the game - then in a grumpy mood had to drive him home to Harlow snoring his bloody head off, before carrying on to Ampshoire..............at least after the similar cobblers up at Sunderland season before (?) Under Poch, I only had to drive as far as Sheffield to get my head down (and some else was picking up the tab).
  9. Come on when he came in this place went into the same level of meltdown as we are seeing here now - there was a call for everyone to do the Spanish thing and twirl white handkerchiefs above our heads as a sign of protest.
  10. Funny how this popped up minutes after the final whistle, and is very vague. Back in the summer we heard a sensational tale that Ralph had lost the dressing room. if I recall correctly, the root of that yarn was traced back the North East……………..
  11. The Express has been telling us we will get 20ft of Snow in the coming weeks for umpteen years.
  12. Looking at the away section today , there is absolutely zero presence in that section of stewards coats, they are all down the sides, what is surprising is just like v West Ham you could not see the gangway steps from bottom to top in that whole section. Given the feeble cobblers spouted to close Block 1 - that away section 2 games running is ripe for the club having the book thrown at them on health and safety. I can’t recall being at an away game and stewards not patrolling the steps to keep them clear.
  13. Nice goal too
  14. Said it many times before - That’s the video that needs the Radio Solent commentary overlaying on it - South Today did it the following night - poor bloke needed hosing down at full time to stop him spontaneously bursting into flames.
  15. Round our way seems to have become the thing that if you have some sort of Halloween stuff outside your house then its ok to knock on the door, if you don't then the kids move along. Got home at 6 last night and Mrs JBS said her goodie bag was nearly empty - figuring with the crap weather incoming everyone headed out early.
  16. Just asked a friend if she was heading for the station and home on 90 minutes - what a great injury time
  17. Only came on to see what’s going on - think I might at well finish cutting the grass……………. Means I can get into bottle of something sooner.🍷😜
  18. That's probably why they have quite a few sauces and stuff in Waitrose, to make it at home and not drive for miles to eat in every time.
  19. You will be delighted to hear that you will be able to have up to 3 weeks of him on your Telly-box soon! Mrs JBS who keeps half an eye on shallow celebrity goings on, informs me that Chris Moyles will be entertaining us in the Jungle. You'll even be able to heap misery on him, just download their app and use all your free votes to get him on all the nasty tasks, then vote him off if you haven't made him walk already.
  20. Michael Salisbury on the whistle for this one, a brief look at his stats he seems a bit card happy with 24 in 5 games - so if our resident nutcase is playing someone needs to have a word in his ear. To back him up on VAR - Mike Deans son - David Coote (that said might be the voice of reason in Salisburys ear with only 17 yellows in 6 games).
  21. I thought this was going to be our Turkish off here, showing the hidden gems of Yorkshire to Nathan, in a 6 part documentary on Prime: coming soon! ........ah well 😞
  22. You're right - None of it has been handed to him on a plate, he knows where the shitty end of the stick is, his parents have done what most Asian parents do, graft to give their kids the best education possible so that they can make the most of what possibilities are out there. And that's what he has done. I wouldn't want to marry into Indian money, there'd have been more eyes on him the moment he stepped out with Mr & Mrs Murthys daughter than MI5, MI6, FBI, CIA, Mossad, and the FSB have collectively at their disposal.
  23. I thought I did - he was a sales agent for us - I helped him out having known him for years in the industry and him being a pleasant chap. Doing the big annual tradeshow "Garths not coming he has Bronchitis", couple of days later speaking to a long time customer about a major competitor just across the aisle from us "While Sarah is on maternity we have a new stand in rep" "got a different name" she ran though a range of names beginning with G - I asked "Garth?" That was it! uncommon name AND the only one in the industry: and he had just committed a cardinal sin. ...................... the door didn't bang on his arse on the way out!
  24. Astra Bangers got louder when you wound the outsides tight with electrical tape. We had to ride to the next village for our fireworks as nippers - the woman running the shop was happy for the pennies in the till, and she knew thay weren’t going off in her village. Must have been in the late 70’s when I went trick or treating with my mates, it only came about when a Scottish family moved into our street, the lad said they went out every Halloween north of the border - he sold the wheeze to us on the talk of free sweets. Appy daze indeed!
  25. Ah well at least Moi didn't make the cut following his excellent performance. If he had, Crooks would have mentioned that having won 2 Championships with Celtic and a couple of years of Premier League experience experience, Mo would be a excellent addition to Arsenals slightly lightweight squad where he would truly thrive.
