Hopefully this is one of those reality check results to keep feet on the ground - Mrs JBS mentioned after watching all our game, and having watched Arsenal v Chelsea based on those 2 games in isolation the gulf in performance was huge. She did utter one positive, that our ability to step across the player and steal the ball almost at will is still quite remarkable

Apparently there are a plethora of horny Grandmas living within 5 minutes of me according to the pop ups when I’m (ahem) searching for a dodgy Saints match stream. 😳😁
-
Blimey! Do they still do those!

I had the BBC Sport Footie page open, looked at our game scrolled down. Looking at the player ratings for us - seems some hardcore narcotics have been enjoyed. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64195234

Should have listened on Solent - Adam and Jo didn’t help matters they were blowing out their cheeks far too much - thought Jo was going to get behind the Sofa for a minute

Bizarrely I saw something the other day to suggest the opposite regarding Potter.

Wow if all of that is considered emotional or aggressive - the world truly has gone to shit!

A page called Saints Alive - It always use to be Southampton creating the post themselves then this season it seems to be these people/person/teapot -
Saints 2-0 Man City - The Treble is STILL on!

Pretty certain they had to give us tickets at half price - we took the full upstairs and downstairs allocation. Then the club subsidised the travel doing that half price too. it was a good day out - we went as a family because it was cheap - with an early start and excitement it caught up with our youngest daughter who was 9 at the time, even now she could sleep like the dead on top of a fence. She nodded off as the game got underway and was rudely awakened when Beattie scored “oh no I’ve missed a goal” most of our coach was sat around us in the stadium, had spotted her “failing”. Driving out of the stadium our coach was rowdy with young chaps singing a full repertoire of Saints songs which everyone joined in with - then one Lad turned to the back of the coach where we were sitting and started “who was sleeping when we scored” suddenly the whole coach was facing our way pointing and singing it - after a brief moment of embarrassment - she stood on her seat, lapped up the adulation and bowed to cheers. -

As NJ has said Lyanco gets a bit too close to the edge, the fact that he is still in after his recent errors must be down to Jones believing that he can coax the stupidity out of him - without losing his bite and menace. As I mentioned elsewhere, when he shoved Grealish away after he had taken out Moussa - don't think I've seen Grealish capitulate so quickly. We've needed a bit of nasty for a long time.
-
Just flipped the page to the City players - we certainly did a job on them.
-
Good on him, journos do ask some lame questions along the way. Being a native English speaker there is no chance of their cobblers being lost in translation, and if he gets us dug out of our present situation hopefully he can start handing back some of the BS written about him in recent weeks.
-
Think that was closely followed by Grealish body check Moussa then making out it was an accident going to apologise and Lyanco shoving him away - honk Grealish thought we had gotten rid of our hitman - but no they have another with a bit more crazy in his eyes. He read that cross field pass so well to intercept and was well on the way to a great assist whilst Grealish and Foden were still analysing who was at fault.

Saints 2-0 Man City - The Treble is STILL on!

You just have to look at our position on that 92 club league table - like the man said last night I’m not David Blaine. Dunno who he’s fooling ‘cos he pulled a bloody big rabbit out of the hat last night. You can drill them until the cows come home in training, but you won’t learn very much until you are facing live opposition with live ammunition. Something good to see from last night was City players getting the arse with each other as the game wore on - think the last time I saw that was when we beat them fresh into Pochs tenure ………. Harry Reed chasing down Aguero in the latter stages, turning to the bench with “who is he” and “what do I do”. Jones being spiky back at “us” - if he makes this team equally or more spiky I’ll buy into that.
