Personally I think we might get a bit of dicking about from ABK - in the Lincoln game playing out from the back he didn't want the ball from Lyanco, instead ABK was telling him to play to the left, when the obvious opportunity was going up the right. Lyanco pulled ABK's tail and once or twice played the ball to him and he got a bit of a nark on. And was subbed at half time. In the Brighton game his body language was equally less interested, and getting clattered in a pretty innocuous challenge was the perfect excuse to swing the lead.

Southampton 0-1 Newcastle League Cup Semi Final 1st Leg

Dunno quite a few get their arses in a cramp in June when football is on holiday 🤪 -
We really need to get in the refs face more - Villa harangued him to get the goal over turned one of them taking a yellow in the process. On one of our free kicks into the box a Villa defender had so much of Lyancos shirt in his hand that the number 4 was on his chest - not a peep out of anyone in our team

Wowzers your family must have been on verge of calling the Rozzers to report a missing person because you’d gone so far into the SaintsWeb crypt. 😁

The other day putting Christmas Decs away in the loft I found an artists tube full of posters including 2 team line up posters from 78/79 and 79/80 seasons, just about fully signed by the players leaving training at The Dell on a Friday lunchtime in the summer school holidays. Memory lane indeed

This is just making me think of going down early at the request of my eldest Daughter when we were league one. A well used Green Jeep something pulled into the car park and minutes later a newly signed Rickie Lambert appeared and autographed the line of kids. His life certainly changed with us! Another was a newly signed Peter Crouch - not playing yet, he was one of the later arrivals for an evening game. My 9 year old daughter spots him and runs after him in the Chapel car park "Peter! - Peter!" she shouts bold as brass, he stops turns around, they are a little bit away from us, she has obviously asked to have her shirt signed. And in one of those visually surreal moments where you wished you had a camera, this giant of a man bends at the waist to sign, my small for her age, daughters shirt. At least its in the photo album in my head.

Made even better to see Fernandes on the verge of tears………again 🤣 Fernandes is one of those players you wish refs had the minerals to book when he is right in their faces bitching and wining At every decision..

Coach travel has got much better since you were at school 😜 We went up to Stockport to watch the ladies last summer on a club coach, ok that’s only just half way to Newcastle, and the ride was very comfortable and smooth, and not being the smallest of chaps it was rather relaxing. if you do sign up I would recommend you pack one of those travel neck cushions, being a night game and a long trip the wafting ride will make you doze off - you may as well take advantage and not spend hours trying to catch your head and cat napping. -
Then you’ll have to print the photos and come back another game to get them signed to the boys.

Me too -
Hmmmmmm - I hadn't realised that how it works I wouldn't exactly call them gifts - Skate Donkey bowls over Aribo, up steps a chap exceptional enough to put a ball on a sixpence and bamboozle the opposition - considering his precision I bet like a sniper JWP had already read the wind v trajectory. Then Armstrong spotted an opportunity and had the presence of mind to light up the afterburners and harry the keeper who fumbled - he still had to put the ball in the net. Opportunities presented themselves and we maximised the situation. A win, is a win - if the ball deviates off a passing Bluebottles backside by a millimetre into the back of the net for a Saints goal - I'll take that all day long 😁

Hopefully this is one of those reality check results to keep feet on the ground - Mrs JBS mentioned after watching all our game, and having watched Arsenal v Chelsea based on those 2 games in isolation the gulf in performance was huge. She did utter one positive, that our ability to step across the player and steal the ball almost at will is still quite remarkable

Apparently there are a plethora of horny Grandmas living within 5 minutes of me according to the pop ups when I’m (ahem) searching for a dodgy Saints match stream. 😳😁
-
Blimey! Do they still do those!

I had the BBC Sport Footie page open, looked at our game scrolled down. Looking at the player ratings for us - seems some hardcore narcotics have been enjoyed. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64195234

Should have listened on Solent - Adam and Jo didn’t help matters they were blowing out their cheeks far too much - thought Jo was going to get behind the Sofa for a minute
