Probably Luton Town

I have to say I enjoyed that game - Moroccans were up for it from the singing of their anthem.
-
That is a nice goal
-
First Red card - the Welsh are buggered Getting it pretty much matched the Welsh performance
-
Blimey only 7 minutes added in the end - think the ref thought "I've had enough of this rolling about, given that neither team look like scoring before next Tuesday lets think of a number just to make it look like I have done my job" .......................... flipping glad I was working for most of that.

Blimey Mexico v Poland is a hard watch only watched the last 20 mins, just so bitty, Snipers in the floodlights picking off both sides with aplomb - the amount of “injury” time likely to be played full time should be around Thursday lunchtime. 😳🤪

How unselfish was that from Wilson - doubt that would happened the other way round

What is the best goal you've ever seen live at a Saints game?

I was 11 and staying with Granny and Grandad in Dale Valley road - those were the days before double glazing and you could hear folk cheering outside - then at full time car horns on Winchester Road. Like you say I doubt you would see scenes like that these days.............................be nice to get into that position to find out. -
That’s taking the Piss! Sorry it was there to be hit 😁🤪

Hard to choose one I was there too for that Cameron Jerome kick in the guts goal - he could spend every daylight hour for a month on the training pitch trying to replicate that goal and never ever manage it. Martinas goal was even more insane and certainly made having to spend Boxing Day sober to then drive to Southampton for a “bloody 8pm kick off” well worth it. Bairds Exocet v Cardiff was obscene - the set up looked like we had effed up a free kick to groans in the stadium, suddenly replaced with Wow! One that does stick in my mind, and I have mentioned before, was MLT v Crystal Palace at the Dell. It wasn’t filthy like Bairds, it’s was mind boggling. Matty had already made the Palace keeper look a mug with his first, simply sending the ball up into low orbit then letting gravity do its stuff for the assist. Second half playing towards the Milton. Edge of the box Matty takes a swing at the ball sitting in direct line behind the goal you thought “damn! keeper has this” ………………”What!? How is that in the back of the net” Momentarily everyone with the same line of sight as me just sat there bamboozled, before joining everyone else celebrating. As you can no doubt tell its stuck with me just for that crowd reaction. Ok I still wonder how - the keeper was all over it!! -
Maybe I’ve missed something - but didn’t his contract run out at the end of this season. If that’s the case then he will only be paid the remaining basic amount of his contracted salary(not the expected with add ins too). I remember reading when Andre Villas Boas was binned off from Spurs the remains of his contract to be paid off was over £10m which added to, remains of his Chelsea contract pay off, again of similar amounts - there was subtle quip that you didn’t need to feel too sorry for him. In a similar vein there was a comment somewhere that when Ralph came in that finances were restricted with having Puel, Pellegrino and Hughes still on the payroll (even when Puel was at Leicester) plus the expensive deadwood players. Of course the club could well have inserted until you get another management role after Pellegrino, hence Mark Hughes deciding to slide back into management at Bradford in February this year, which ties in with the paying you until you get another job. Don’t think anyone outside the central football bubble will know the whole truth about manager contract payoffs until you get one of them, or their agents, pissed on a night out.

Alan Pardew - told him straight to sort out his chip butty lifestyle - Rickie himself said it was the best advice he had.
-
Pretty certain he said on signing his new contract, that that this would be his last management role - his earnings in his time with us alone would give many people a very comfortable life
-
Sparta Prague too - think everyone was pissed off that night at the seeming lack of effort (having no doubt having coughed up getting there too). Long got part way to us Saints fans realised that the mood was not very happy - just threw a “sod the fecking lot of you” gesture in our direction and trudged off.
-
Liked the fact that he said he could have sat this one out before stepping into the role, but just chose to get on with it to get feel for it all. On the flip side Wolves mates of mine seemed a bit more cheesed at the final whistle (aside from being bottom at Christmas) that their new manager chose to start his role tomorrow (Monday) despite being appointed on last week on Bonfire night.

That’s scandalous for such “a great club” what was it £3 more to see the other end?

There was a Lincolnshire councillor a few years who openly said that he would like a few outsiders to know some of the locals and hopefully deepen the local gene pool!

He's glad he has training on Christmas day - meaning less time with the in-laws (poor bloke - no only us moany buggers to contend with) 🤣
