:smt044 :smt078 (replace vomit with coffee all over the screen) That is a stunning amount of money for someone who was stroppy and less than impressive for us.

Reserves Pulled Out of Combination League.
John Boy Saint replied to miserableoldgit's topic in The Saints
Has to be the best way forward, as the quality of the opposition does not seem to be too much of a challenge, and looking at the results it seems the team approached the games last season with a laissez faire attitude. Getting better games especially overseas might inspire better performances that can be carried forwards into the first team. -
In fairness to Glenda he did say following the game against Italy that he took Matt off to early, on the flip side maybe he felt the slating Matt got lead by Danny "Whats the difference between a bucket of sh!t and Danny Baker................The bucket" Baker was a little unfair and felt obliged to deflect it. There will always be great players who will miss out of great football events simply because he does not fit in with their game plan..................... eg, Young Gillett for us last season before last was a key player AP came in and he became a forgotten man. C'est la vie

I always thought his brother was a bit handy with Scorpions. Surprised no mention of Steve Hackett!

To pull my Anorak on; these were probably on order before the 125 Badge and shirt was rubber stamped. When I asked Leighton in the shop before Christmas when the next stock was arriving he said 3 months which is normal Far East turnaround. It seems that this import of Gnomes has suffered the current mucking about with the shipping of goods from that part of the world making them late......................... Unless they have been on a Madagascar'esk detour!! Hood down Anorak off :-)

Blimey! Cheers Ronnie for being a big part of my Teenage musical years, RIP Sir. First I heard of it on here! Rainbow Long Live Rock N Roll was my first concious album purchase, might just go and spin the vinyl in honour of the man.

I brought a Wimbledon supporter to a game and he was so pleased to see Chris Perry, he was even more delighted to see that he still lived up to his nickname "The Rash" (for those who are curious "all over you like a ....."). Cheers for pulling on the Red & White Chris, you did it proud in my book. Good Luck

This should be like a New Orleans Funeral Jazz band ( Watch the beginning of James Bond Live and Let Die) then crank it up just as the players emerge from the tunnel, making sure that the PA controller does not behave like the usual knob that he does by cranking up the volume to drown out the fans. A better PA amplifying system would help (please NC & ML). I remember a few seasons ago at Portman Road midweek, when the teams came out the tune was banging (to quote Kevin & Perry) and the bass was seemed to pump up both sets of fans. If the same tune had been played on the SMS sound system it would have sounded like it was played on the cheapest Amstrad system found on Ebay.

Pardew himself is fully aware of this, and has said so himself, so there is no hidden messages in any of the comments................. Simples: Black & White, no the grey that we have been so use to, and see all the time in football.

I have to say that was an excellent response to all the whipped up frenzy of recent weeks and other things besides. It certainly has the Swiss stamp of keeping their cards close to their chests in business and everyone else can keep their beaks out. What stuns me is the number of posters on here not happy with the statement, and looking to find hidden meanings in what NC has said and perpetuate unrest and frenzy. Just step back and accept what has been said we no longer dance to the tune of the media and typical football circus. What a breath of fresh air. As for the style of football, from my seat in the Chapel more attractive football is already on show, many a time this past season I have sat there and thought this is really good football, if it is going to get better then well done. As for the NC AP relationship, anyone who saw the embrace between them at Wembley could see that was a genuine act not put on for the cameras. Rejoice at the fact the claptrap and tittle tattle days at Southampton Football Club are over. As the man says enjoy the summer!

League One Odds - 2010/11 (With 20 teams)
John Boy Saint replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Once the FL have rogered them senseless that would be very impressive! -
But in reality given the topic of consternation that has been top of the agenda since Saturday even someone could quite easily over look that not insignificant event being mentioned.

Pardew and board to meet Thursday now...?
John Boy Saint replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
We'll be in Europe next season if there is a war! This is getting most tiresome, what I want to know is for someone who says very little when was the last time NC was spoken to for him to point out that things were looking bleak for AP and SFC. Or is all this cobbers based on something uttered a few months back and mis quoted, possibly, because the tone in which NC answered it in was not in his mother tongue? -
But the reason for reading the programme was to look for something blatantly contentious which everyone one was looking for as a conspiracy. If the signing of this chap was mentioned, because it seems to be a badly kept secret most folks would skim over reading of it thinking it was general knowledge.
-
Probably what was hinted at in the Programme on Saturday and unlike Leeds trumpeting the arrival of Lee Barnard to them from Southend in the Jan window in their programme, rather than show un Swiss inefficient naivety the club decided to pull the programme to save face.

All very Swiss keeping all the cards close to their chests, send out info on a need to know basis and sending out the barest minimum. I would imagine that if it was a done deal it would have been out by now. However with all the players having been given their training packages for the summer break, with Rickie adding if it ain't done they will be found out, if AP knew he was destined for the door would he have even bothered to have set this regime in place. We live in a football world where sackings and dismissals have become a spectator sport driven by the media so a none story from back in the very early spring seems to have been through the recycler marked "Chinese Whispers additions". It would be nice to get a statement from the Football Club, but I think we will be waiting quite a while. -
How many people saw the Season Montage on the big screens before the game, I thought it was quite good and well made. Quite a few round me were gobshoiting and not watching, those who were thought it was good too.

Is all this if's, but's, and maybe's as a result of the soap opera that we have endured over recent seasons compounding the conspiracy theories. In addition to this being a privately owned club with no need to report to the city, and being Swiss owned where all business dealings are kept notoriously private out of habit just making everything seem worse than it possibly is as very little does leak out, and anything that does is suppressed swiftly with a degree cold preciseness

I always inspect mine and my Granny's brick on the wall of the Chapel.
