  1. Perhaps he read my comments the other day on here and decided to prove me wrong, which he did today. In reality I expect NA had a word because he did play much better today than he has in more recent games.
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/11 Ha Ha to all of you numpties who had your hats scarves gloves on a few weeks ago when it was 15c, where in your wardrobe do you have left to go when the Mercury hits 1C on Tuesday night.
  3. Nope can't think of nowt!!
  4. There was a moment in todays game when the ball was heading to the posh goal line, there was a Posh player pursuing it with Rickie in hot pursuit yu saw him look over his shoulder and in the next second it was if he thought " cripes Rickie Lambert is breathing down my neck, lets just launch this into the stands" = a throw in deep in there half.
  5. 106 votes at time of posting and 2 goal scorers have no points; bizarre!!
  6. You might have had a look in your eye of "Fancy dinner after the game".
  7. Having got home had a very nice dinner accompanied by a spectacular Cote du Rhone, the view on today's game has remained the same from the moment I walked out of the stadium. That was was a disciplined thrashing of a team that until last week was having fun in this league. I felt that the Posh spent so much time nullifying Lallana that they metaphorically forgot about our other 9 outfield players. My favourite goal of the afternoon was Chaplows, they so did not see that coming. That Guly has some acceleration for a big chap. My first choice at right back would still be Butterfield, his cross field distribution is consistently sublime. Jaidi must be like playing against a very old New Forest Oak, one of the Posh players was trying to get around him and he must have thought "jeez how much of this guy is there!). Someone said above how quiet the crowd was, I noticed this a few weeks ago. But then I thought how Highbury was known as the Library, now no one can argue that at times Arsenal's passing football is a pleasure to watch, I think that so many of us get engrossed in the game that we forget to get vociferous. What you do hear a lot more of is appreciative applause. Tuesdays game will be the benchmark of where we are. Well done lads
  8. I can't believe you would want to privatise the Beeb, if you have full fat movies an all Sky subscription you are paying obscene (by comparison) viewing figures. Leave it alone, I like my TV without adverts thank you very much.
  9. I have to agree with Thorpe & Marc on Jennifer Ennis and Victoria Pendleton.
  10. I would hazard to say Hammond is on the edge of the outs, as he seems to have lost his bite this season. But the question is who do we back him up with. With Ferguson flirting with the heave-ho at Preston, Chaplow could be flavour of the month back there again.
  11. Years ago folks would fly across the world for peanuts by being couriers, not the narcotic type but documents etc needing to get somewhere guaranteed and putting someone on a plane with an air ticket was cheaper than using DHL or similar. I don't know if in the current air travel environment the companies who organised this type of travel still exist.
  12. I can give you a good example of where that is not quite true: you have someone like that matey Hamza, and other extremists, biting the hand that is feeding him and still keeping a roof over his head free and gratis regardless. Then you take my Auntie who was born in India with English parents (they came back to England in 1947 when she was still little), she decides that she wants to go abroad for her holidays and applies for a passport when into her fifties. The marathon she had to endure to prove her right to being entitled to a British Passport beggared belief, the family history she had to provide was mid blowing, both My Father and Uncle got their passports simple as years before when they did national service. This isn't something from the extreme right tabloids this is real fact, there are sections of our society who can stick 2 fingers up at will who get the least line of resistance approach from the authorities, then there are the law abiding folk who when they put so much as their big toe over the line get jumped all over. Example of that last piece has nothing to do with ethnicity: my wife had her car stolen from outside the house on a Thursday, we informed the police etc. On the Saturday we were told that the car had been found and will be towed in the next hour to a local scrap yard at a cost of x and will be charged at X per day until we sort it out. This we were told in a there is no negotiating on this tone. we are going to do. Yet in there were 3 cars with Police aware notices on them parked on the ringroad at various points from the weekend before our car was stolen until the latter part of the following week. We are hard working honest folks our car is found and towed in the blink of an eye, these abandoned cars complete with number plates etc are just left as the folks who they belong to just stuck 2 fingers up to society, and are more than hard work to pursue.
  13. What a bunch of knobs the only reason they can live in this country with the freedoms of speech they can take advantage of in this way is because of the people who laid down their lives a long time before Iraq and Afghanistan. They did this in the countries they originated from against a remembrance event like today they would be flogged in the streets legally by the authorities and the locals there. Ah well that's Special Branch through my front door at 6am in the morning sometime in the next few days.
  14. £ for £ Augustin Delgado must be a legend of the highest order in this Saints team of Crocks. But what heading do you give to the team that includes Delgado's personal shopper and house maid Chalalala and Pahars bestest mate Bledelis.
  15. LOL at all the 85 minute ticket holders
  16. Dirty naughty Nun power does it on the match thread: no more Wooting then! What cheeky boys our Saints team is teasing us with a trip to Shrewsbury then they take it away!!
  17. That's viewing figures of 2 then make that 3 with Hatch
  18. The thing I like about Chaplow is that he knows that the object of Football is to put the ball into the net more times than the opposition, so always seems to want to get into the box as quick as possible, when Spiderman came on the other night his first choice of play seemed to be sideways. That said I would like to see Chaplow and Schneiderlin given a run in midfield as I think they are dynamic players in their own style, that might prove to be a potent combination.
  19. They want to put a station in where I live, it is on the Reading Basingstoke line so a very quiet route compared to Waterloo to Southampton, but network rail said that the disruption to the timetable would make it unfeasible. So a "Rogue" train trundling up a strange track would cause an absolute network meltdown probably with tremors felt out on the far west coast of Scotland. . . . And a damn good excuse for industrial action.
  20. Don't care! As long as I get to walk out of St Marys with a Colgate smile after every game.
  21. He nearly did it 3 times, except Fonte steamed in to make sure it hit the back of the net.
  22. Yeah right Crouchie!! You told him that you were longer in the shower than me!!! Next thing you will be telling folks is that you will be picked for England and are off to Liverpool in the summer!!
  23. Think about it, it gets very busy there already!
