Only Henderson is a done deal (Green's contract is up in the summer), the others will have an option to buy, but I cannot see them taking the option up. That is correct and they also need to offer the same deal to away supporters.

I've won a years supply of pot noodle! It turned out to be about 90 pots though. I can't stand them now and I didn't eat them all. Otherwise, I've won a plenty of things at conferences by putting your business card 'in the hat' from F1 tickets to a class with a top chef, the job title helps though.

Lucky git!

Should get more, general sale next Tuesday.

Yep agree, still top and six games to play. Just as it was a ****e performance, it's not the end of the world.
-
Well the twelve game unbeaten run has come to an end but what a ****e performance, too static, no pass and go, no cohesion.
-
No. It never has, the CVA1 is 16.5m. Of the other debt TB has stated there is between 7 and 10 million of footballing debt so only 9 to 6 million can be used to pay other bills, secured (Chanrai and Gaydamak) and non secured (st Johns, schools etc).

The strategy of academy to first team is only two years in the making I think your talking about something else.
-
So what pressure are Saints under now? There is a clear strategy with the management structure, player recruitment, academy upgrade and probably a few other things either not seen or yet to be done to maximise potential return (and no I'm saying it's going to work). If it's just the case of an academy producing prospects to go in the first team, then I wouldn't expect much in return. PS. The villa fans dislike Mcleish, some would prefer relegation than to keep him and his brand of football.
-
Who do you want to go up to and down from the Premiership?
Doctoroncall replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
Up: Saints, Reading and Brighton Down: would have liked to see Mcleish take a tumble but unlikely now so QPR, Wolves and Bolton. -
But what effort are they putting into achieving it? There's no point having a target and doing nothing to increase the likelihood of it happening. This is a small step and it will be interesting to see what other actions are taken to help achieve the target, otherwise yes, players will leave.

Got to be a win and first.

That's certainly better info than I was given last week, which was don't know, check the website... You must have a persuasive way with you!
-
I think the point is when it's the odd few it's OK, but when it's a more it's difficult to actually see the football with people passing by, especially if you are close to the exit points.

I beleive that is the funding (through grants) for all PL Enterprise Academies, not footballing ones. The University of Liverpool Management School estimates the cost to run a PL football academy to be £3-5m pounds a year.
-
I can see your point but I'm not so sure, why invest so much in the training ground if the goal was to maximise return on investment? Generally, those that pick up failing businesses, strip the fat and make them lean and profit making, certainly not interested in the extra frills which do little to add or maximise on the return. Currently, the training ground is adequate for the PL, perhaps a bit of investment to keep it at the high standard it already is, but why invest to make it the best at so much cost if you're only looking for a return?
-
I'm sure the Spurs fans were doing this to Arsenal fans only five games ago! I don't mind confidence but not the complacency or arragance when there is a chance of it to go pear shaped.
-
The people in this case are those from the club. That's their target - at least half the team coming from the academy.
-
West Ham nearly three down... Tomkins & Collins first game together at the back and Faye (their rock) not playing today... KUMB in melt down! Oh, apparently Phillips misses a sitter for Blackpool for an equaliser.
-
So when is the completion date?

Well I managed to upset a skate on the guardian... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/football-league-blog/2012/mar/23/football-league-weekender#start-of-comments

why did the egg cross the road?

PFC can have I think up to eight loan players (there are restrictions on some number must be under 24 and no more than five from one club), only five in the squad and only four on the pitch at any one time. Injuries and suspensions will take there toll as the games come thick and fast, Halford is only one booking away from a ban.
-
I wonder if his other wife thinks the same?? ;-)

Agree, we've been here before last season and so far this season it's on course for a positive outcome. It would be great if BFS was reduced to take a chance through the play-offs.
