  1. 33%, only 7% behind Jensen.
  2. The other factor to consider is losing good staff and players on the way up the league (lets see what happens to Swansea).
  3. Honimiere was far from disgraced and left the impression that the return to 1m (and beyond) would bemore to his liking. He is one to keep an eye on granted a more suitable test of stamina.
  4. I'm not sure as there was the Wigley factor to consider, but at least we would have had a better chance.
  5. It would be interesting to see the trend over the season, by the end of November, the average was 15,675. At the end of the season it was 17,850ish. 2200 rise from one half to the other seems strange especially considering the dire performances in December and January.
  6. So you still uphold the playground code. As SFC will be banning any that are positively identified and/or found guilty of the crime, SFC are not sticking together. What does the code say about that?
  7. If he can improve on dealing with crosses, he would be immense.
  8. MSI - Media Sports Investment
  9. The backer has had money trouble because of the recession and one of his companies (MODUS) is either in administration or close to so they would have had to sell if they stayed in the CCC. Burnley have always had to sell to survive (e.g Lafferty to Rangers for £3m, and Thomas to us for a million!!!) as they don't have the gates to spend on wages.
  10. Had first and second, missed third by a head!
  11. Derby: Sea The Stars is the one to beat but Fame and Glory has an outside chance plus Golden Sword E/W bet at 40/1 may be worth a go.
  12. Spot on, a good manager and scouting infrastructure are more important at this stage.
  13. It was 12 in 46 league games, two being penalties.
  14. Considering he had the second highest number of shots (121, 64 on target) in the league his goal tally (12) isn't great. How many were penalties?
  15. HMRC are not a big creditor compared to Aviva and Barclays so a CVA (if required) will be approved without them.
  16. Haha, I wish I had your faith in the FL! I did say if one (a CVA) is required. If you read the FL statement they say the other provisions of The League's insolvency policy also become effective.
  17. If a CVA is required, then 75% of the creditors (in monetary terms) need to agree it. As it seems the creditors are happy with the terms from pinnacle to have exclusivity I would imagine a CVA will be approved. However, that will not stop the FL being imposing another penalty (likely to be 15 points) if they feel (or other clubs) that we've got an advantage. Obviously Leyton Orient would vote for further punishment!
  18. And they still have us down in the CCC (club badges on the right): http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/ChampionshipHome/0,,10794,00.html Bloody amateur organisation! I'm going for A
  19. I was surprised Jim Gannon is not up there as a realistic choice. Experienced at this level and used to a tight budget and playing youth in the first team. Let's face it MLT isn't going to manage as he has said many times. Other possibles: Stuart Baxter - Manages Finland but has stated he would like a change in English Football. Mates with Roy Hodgson and if he's as good as him, certainly worth a go. Aidy Boothroyd - Still without a job, did OK at Watford until servere budget constraints and trying to change style of football ended his stint there. John Hughes - Manager of Falkirk, has done wonders with keeping the club in the SPL and also a cup final appearance. Has said he would like to try the English League. Could be the next Owen Coyle!
  20. What vendetta? This isn't some feud between posters and MJ. MJ hasn't exactly come across as a professional businessman in either takeover of Bornemouth AFC or Southampton FC from the two interviews posted. This forum would be a quiet place if everyone took your advice... or perhaps you can give us these "facts" in an unbiased way so we can see how good MJ is in this kind of business.
  21. I think that is against FA/FL rules with regards owners of football clubs.
  22. I'm sure Dyer was more interested in a move than willing to stay with us in League One.
  23. If this was the Grand National I would say there is a furlong to go with one fence to jump.
  24. From the interview, he was clear in his mind he was going to be part of the management team of Bournemouth AFC. It didn't happen and I only said I wasn't impressed with his interview technique or that he gave anything of substance. He may have played a part in getting Pinnacle to move quicker, however there were other interested parties.
