So it's still a race: MLT "I've spoken to the [group] owner this morning and he's confirmed that once the Football League issues have been dealt with, it will only be a matter of hours after that that we can complete a deal." The administrator for Southampton said he was expecting to hear 'early next week' if talks with a Swiss consortium would lead to a buy-out of the club.

England v. Sweden U21 Semi Final..

Thanks for the report. BTW Pearce scored the penalty in Euro 96 against the Germans, it was in 90 World Cup when he missed. -
If you have a water cooler in the office, put a pin hole in the cups and watch the fun. If you have some glue like prit-stick glue some pens and pencils to the desk. The get pretty stuck if left over night. Swap a few keys around on the keyboard (actually I think someone's done that to Frank's cousin). Take the ball out of the mouse or tape over the light.

Who is Micheal Fialka, the propective new owner

Expectation grow as time went on about this rich backer, a shame they have taken so long to not quite get the deal done as the tide seems to be turning (unfortunately) because of not meeting those expectations. -
Fry was brought in to sell the assets of SLH, if SLH could not be sold as a going concern with some cash injection. If this can be done in a reasonable time frame all well and good. If not, with no buyer coming forward, then the individual assets would be auctioned off (e.g Jacksons farm) and then wound up.

Yes Yes. Hope that helps.

£55k a week that he's holding out for would be the main reason.

But surely an expected outcome from the FL considering previous teams had similar problems while exiting administration. Or was it the case of let's not mention it and hope they will not to which again doesn't add up. It all seems odd to me and there is more to it than relinquishing the right of appeal.

That's something the Germans did do (not sure it still goes on but I'd expect it has). When the child reaches 16 it's a choice of academic or practical streams of study. Those on the academic side do the usual subjects, those on the practical side are more like apprenticeships which can vary from engineering where there is still an academic element to being in the fire service.

It's a time bomb... Liver disease remains one of the top five killer diseases and the only one still on the rise.

I like the quote from the beef farmer considering he was upset... "a shocking thing to see".

1) I cheated 2) I would have both. As Bungle has stated Fosters is cack so I'm sure it couldn't get any worse adding the mixer.

That was to establish if there was a connection/reason to give the club a points penalty from SLH going into administration.

Seven days after the FL announcement of their decision to dock points, although as there wasn't a buyer for the club it seems a redundant point.
-
As it stands it's only speculation with no substance.

We don't know all the details of the deal but we do know creditors are getting some proportion of money owed so not all debt being removed. The cost of not being promoted would be at least £2m (TV money and FA handout with the new deal for CCC clubs).
-
God forbid if the FL were to be proactive! Apart from amending the rules as a course of action, I cannot remember the FL, other clubs or fans getting into such a frenzy.
-
Was there this much fuss when Leicester, Leeds and other clubs exploited the lack of FL rules on this kind of issue, irrespective of whether it is morally or ethically correct?

Are you going to retract your apology now?

So it's down to the last hand in the game of poker... has pinnacle got a good hand or are bluffing against FL's with a couple of ace's up their sleeve?

Good news indeed. -
I was still at school when news broke out across most of the country, however living in the backwaters of Gloucestershire, news didn't arrive until the coaches arrived a few days later.
